    Pump action shotgun

I am purchasing a benelli m2 tactical semi auto for father's day. I am going to follow up that purchase with either a kel tec ksg, benelli super nova or mossberg 500 or 590? I had a remington 870 marine which had fte problem so I sold it to my buddy. Wanted to see opinions on those who have shot or own these guns. I am leaning towards the kel tec because of its capacity and small.

    Wrong forum.

I'd say get another 870. Definitely a rare fluke.

          I hate 870's. Get a Mossgberg 590, you won't ever look back.

Your choices should be based on your needs. What do you want to use your shotguns for? If they are just to be tacticool, get whatever you want. If you are actually going to use them for a purpose, you really need to state the intended purpose(s) if you want to get any decent advise.

I've listed the reason's why at least 5 time in the past.

I carry a 870 on duty everyday (as recently as last night). I have a Mossberg 590 as my personal HD shotty. The build quality as well as the placement of the safety are huge factors for me. If any one has actually looked into the internals such as spot welded ejectors vs screwed in ejectors, again that alone is enough to dissuade me.

                  YMMV,

I havent had any failures with the supernova in the two years which I owned it. Only issue I had was the long LOP for my T-Rex arms. Looking into picking up a old 870 police trade in. QC with remington started going down hill around 2008. I would not buy a new 870

So all the 870 owners that are continually posting up exactly the same thing are just in our imagination? As are the people that tell them how to fix the apparently "rare" problem?

OP, what you plan on using the shotgun for will be the deciding factor as to what to buy.

Another recommendation for the Mossberg 590A1. The US Service Model is what I have. Its a heavy duty piece of outstanding weapon.

The barrel is a thick-walled piece of pipe, metal trigger group, heavy duty metal safety, 9 round capacity.
