I like Benelli shotguns myself, I use a Supersport and my wife use a M2 Field Compact. My vote goes to the Supernova.

I'll also recommend getting one configured for wing/target shooting instead of another tactical shotgun. The M2 tactical already have you covered for tactical, you might as well get something that you can use to shoot trap/skeet/sporting clay and 5-stand.

If you have not bought your M2 tactical yet, it might be better to get a M2 field version for clay target shooting, and a Nova tactical instead. Most tactical shotguns end up collecting dust because there aren't a lot of places to use them, clay target shooting ranges typically place a min. barrel length requirement on shotguns (Metcalf is the only 1 I know of that doesn't do this).

Like you, OP, I bought a semi-auto first (m4 in my case), and a supernova will definitely be my next shotgun purchase. I almost bought one first, but decided to save the $$ for the m4. Still want the supernova!
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

I like my father's 870, but I love my Mossberg 500. It is so reliable. I never have any problems with it. It eats any 12 gauge ammo no problem.

The design is very simple and works well. No reason for me to go with anything else.

It really depends on use case: hunt, skeet/trap, HD, etc. I use a Mossy 500 for HD but loved my Ithaca 37 for hunting. Little things can make a big difference to folks like location of the safety, barrel length, mag size, or the feel of the trigger.

Benelli makes a nice shotgun for sure. Were it me, and the 870 was off the table (I like them), I'd go Benelli...no question. And especially a) if you're getting the M2 cause I like the idea of, "keeping it all in the family," and b) especially over the Kel Tec. Kel Tec's quality has been too hit and miss for my tastes. YMMV.
