So i was at the range yesterday (outdoor range), and was shooting my ruger 10/22. I was shooting different ammo, whatever I could find online. I went to shoot the final round in the mag, and it went "click". So I went to clear it, I pulled the bolt back and about 1/2" back, it went "boom" I originally thought I was looking at the lead mushroomed around the chamber, but when I pulled it out with tweezers, it was the brass with the back blown out. Of course, I assumed there was a stuck round in the barrel, but it was clear.
I am guessing the extractor somehow caused the round to fire when I pulled back on the bolt. The brass blow out was the most extreme where the extractor is. Is that possible? Any ideas what happened.
