If they weren't buying all the ammo up and reselling it for a profit, we would be able to walk in and buy what we want. In my opinion resellers are scalpers and they SUCK.

Saddest cool story ever Brah.

Wasn't sad to me. I was really there for the ZQI 7.62 they lifted the box limit on for the day.


Later that day I went to the next town downs WalMart and they had a full shelf of .22. They said wow we were baffled no ones been in. They had the same sale, only no one showed up all day. So I bought my 3 box limit, and then a dragon swooped down and bought an extra 3 box limit for me.

I don't waste gas/time anymore. I just order on line, easy peasy.

Online is still more expensive than even buying from the local guys. I'm not ready to pay over 8c/round for bulk ammo.

I bought 2 bricks of it from someone in the ammo sales here for $26 each the other week... $20 won't break me but I hate paying over retail.

You know, you're partially right. Speculation can be a useful financial instrument as it brings balance to the market price.

NO, it is not entrepreneurialism when you are artificially disrupting the supply of a product meant for consumption in that market and selling it somewhere else. Add to that that the flippers are not even consumers of that product, and it simply equates to them being lowlifes.

I have not and never will pay more than retail price for .22 ammo. Granted I have never been out of .22 ammo ever. But even if I was. I would quit shooting before paying more than retail.

I have never seen anywhere online that is a good price for .22 ammo. Best prices are local at Walmart and that is a fact. Has been that way for alot of years. Paid 11.95 out the door for Rem 225s today at Walmart. (It actually works great in the Wifes little Ruger SR22) Show me that delivered to your house price from a online source and I am a buyer.

The flippers are just not seeing the big profits anymore, and will soon have to get a job.. Till the next big panic

Local Walmart announced their shelving of .22 Showed up there well before they put them out and there was already a line. 2nd dude in line cleaned out the entire shelf.

I bought 15k rounds of various brands of 22LR from Cabela's over the past 8 months for 5.5 cents/round on average (the days of paying 3.5-4 cents/round is gone). I'll gladly pay shipping to not waste my time or deal with the scum at the local Walmart. An hour of my time is worth way more than the $5 it costs to ship a brick of 22LR.

No it still exists for under 5 cents a round. Walmart has also rolled back prices on other calibers I buy too. The same will happen again with .22 ammo when it gets overstocked and ample supplies are back again. They want to move stuff and make money. So they will drop .22 ammo prices also.

I paid less than 4.5 cents for the Rems today. No shipping, No hassle.

I always see people complain about such things as "deal with scum" when buying ammo at Walmart. I walked in there today. Shot the bull with the counter guy. Grabbed my Ammo and went on my way. I just do not understand where all you people have such unpleasant experiences at Walmart buying ammo.

I consider the people that work the counter as friends. And I know most who are there to get ammo too. Must be different in the Large City I guess.

Go ahead and buy ammo online if that suits you best. But it definitely not the best option. Cabelas does not sell ammo cheaper than Walmart. They never have.. You may run into a deal in a Blue Moon there. But overall they are much higher priced.

Watch Brassbadger, I cannot say it is 100% correct for your area, but it is always spot on for mine. I do not go if it does not say it is there. No waste at all. Only two miles away anyway. Not like you have to drive 100 miles to get to a Walmart, for most of us they are as common as the corner convenience store anymore
