    I need a LIFE!!

I know 5k rounds is a lot these days, but what WOULD have been nice is to at least offer some of the order for crying out loud.

OK, will you take 1000 is that ok?
    Hell even 500.

Instead of just flushing us who have been in line over a year!

For the last time, I'm not mad that they didn't fulfill all the orders YET. I'm disappointed in the way the handled the whole situation from the beginning. Lack of transparency, mixed messages, people have been randomly getting cases or getting orders cancelled for the last year, and then the apparent policy change to chuck the whole thing and just kill all the backorders and start selling direct with an explanation that's clearly bogus (that they can't get ANY more, when they'd just listed some that day and listed more the next).

Good ways to handle it might have included any combination of...
      1. An apology for taking backorders they couldn't possibly fill (millions of rounds).
      2. A non-changing backorder policy in regards to cancellation.
      3. Offers to people in line to get .22 first, possibility in smaller quantities or at market pricing.

You might look up how the CMP handled a similar situation, and nobody's mad at them, because they're acting consistently and making a good faith effort to get people ammo even though their distributor screwed them. When they get in .22 - any .22 - they offer it by the case to whoever's next in line at a fair price. You can take it or not. If you decline you keep your place in line until they get what you actually ordered.

I should perhaps also mention that this comes on top of the way they handled powder backorders - I don't remember if it came up on this thread or not, but it's been discussed on calguns that they took a bunch of powder orders, and since they were going to be drop shipped from the maker they charged peoples cards immediately, even though it was going to be weeks until delivery. Ok, fine, we'll wait, right?

Well, then they started canceling the orders after a couple of weeks (and after some of us had passed up other powder) and issued PARTIAL refunds. They didn't refund the shipping or something, I've forgotten the details. It took me several emails to get it straightened out and they were very rude about the whole thing. So there were already threads that were along the lines of "I'm done with Midway" or "I'm not ordering anything else from Midway until we see how they handle the backorders".

It's part of a pattern of bad service.

Who needs it? Plenty of other vendors out there.

I agree with the comments regarding Midway's left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, backorders in que not being filled, shipping others, out of stock.

My main gripe with 'ol Larry is he seems genuine, but IMO he shafts us on shipping costs. I bet he has a fixed cost contract just like Amazon and pockets some extra change on the backs of HIS customers.

And just to add another little stick onto the fire I just got a reply to my "I don't think you're handling the customer service aspect of this very well" with a reply that said that all orders are cancelled at 365 days.

            1. That's not true, the order was much older than that.
            2. Prior customer service people had said they were waiving the 365 day policy on rimfire ammo because they had such a huge backlog.
            3. It's not based on some specific date because so many got cancelled on the same day.
            4. A day that "coincidentally" they started listing mini mags for sale again.
            5. Two days after they'd sent out reminders to keep our credit cards up to date on the same backorder.

It's just no way to run a company.

Midway gets .22 lr ammo from CCI all the time and lists it on their website, while the people with backorders who have been waiting a year or more get nothing.

Midway could have programed their computer system to swap out the product number of 5000 case Minimags for the product number of 1000 round Minimags x5 , and people would be getting the ammo they ordered and waited for.

How do you know that's the same product at Midway? Maybe the reason they sold 5000 cases is because it's meant to be sold as such, and the 1000 is meant to be sold as such or piece meal. What if they only get 4000? What then? See how your system would be equally as confusing?

Because we've been buying this stuff for decades and we know how it's packaged?

Oh, so you've been working at Midway for all these years and know their processes? Dang why didn't you say so and just take a case for yourself when you clock into work?

What's with that Midway? I place a backorder, patiently wait just over a year. Midway cancels my order, but one month later its in, but I can't get any. Some lucky people get it, but they sure weren't in line as long as I was.

Yes, it was exactly the same product number. Midway, you get an "F" in customer service on this one...
I was actually checking my email, I refreshed and watched a midway email come in, notifying me that some rimfire was in. I clicked the link, and it was out of stock.

They keep sending those things hours after the product is already gone. Their email server is apparently very slow.
