I got an email from them a couple of days ago and it still shows the case of Minimags I ordered back last October still on back order. Of course, whether or not they deliver it is another thing.

I am with you on this one. I know for a fact that they have shipped new orders of the same thing I have had on backorder for 10 months (+).

The only time I've had problems with back orders was when my credit card that I originally used had expired by the time it was in stock. I didn't even realize it had happened. There was nothing I could do about it and I reordered (on back order) again and had to wait another 3 months for the magazines to come in the mail.

I had two backorders. One for 100 rounds of 36 grain hollow point cci Mini Mags and another order of 5000. 3 months ago they said my 100 rounds order was in and asked if I wanted to wait to ship them together and I said yes. 3 days ago they sent me an email that said they had shipped my order and mentioned nothing of my 5000 order. They charged me a crazy amount for the 100 rounds for the shipping. It was close to 18 dollars with shipping for 100 rounds and the order for 5000 still says out of stock. I feel like they ripped me off.

$18.00 for shipping on 100 rds. I would call & ask them to eat that unreasonable fee.

Same with me. I've got several items on backorder, each as separate orders, so that the high shipping cost for each shipped backorder item doesn't come in to play, and so that the "we're going to hold the whole thing until everything is in" won't come in to play.

I've got 3 or 4 different orders, each one a a single case of ammo, on backorder since January, and have seen the same exact things sold and received elsewhere by other people.

Irritating, but not much we an do about it.

I can do plenty about it. Shop elsewhere.

They did that to me once but they are not ripping you off. You are being charged shipping for both items and then there is no shipping charge on the second item when it ships.

confusing so we called and that was their explanation. I eventually got both items so all was good.

Now if I could just get the .22 I ordered in January,

I don't bother with Midway anymore because shipping costs are stupidly expensive. Laughably so.

Their shipping is actually very reasonable. They recently lowered it even more. I ship a lot of stuff and its expensive in general. When you consider how big the box is and how heavy they can its pretty cheap. We are just spoiled by other companies that charge a few dollars to ship a large package, the reality is they eat shipping cost sometimes.

As you can see by my iTrader, I ship a lot of stuff too and I know it can be expensive. Still, every deal I've seen on Midway was killed by disproportionately high shipping costs. I really like the Midway range bag, but last time I saw it on sale, the shipping nearly doubled the cost of the item.

Brownells on the other hand gives discounts to FFL03's and their shipping costs are comparatively much lower.

Keep in mind these big retailers don't pay for shipping anywhere near retail rate. I get about a 30% discount over what you would pay at the counter and largish companies are paying half what I pay. Really big shippers pay even less than that.
