The one in Perris got two cases today, or last night rather. They had a total of 22 bricks of 550 Federal when I got there this morning. I checked the night before on brassbadger.com and it said they got some at 11pm yesterday which ended up being true. For the most part that website has been pretty accurate.

Cool. I hadn't heard about that app. Thank you.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

You have to look before 715 AM. It's usually gone in about 15 minutes after the store opens. Just check the WM apps or www.findmeammo.com and it will tell you what stores have any. Just got 3 boxes of Winchester 333's this morning. There is another local store in the morning that has the same. Just have to decide if I want to get up at 330 to get it. Its out there if you look in the right places. Im retired, so I have time to make new friends in the parking lot. Some stores give numbers and you can go home and back to sleep, come back at 700 and get your ammo..... I've collected 30k rounds in the last 6 months this way.

I haven't seen .22 in a Walmart since early 2009. Every since Obama got elected Walmart hasn't had a decent supply of ammo of any kind. It was just starting to come back when the stuff hit in December 2012.

In Orange County it doesn't help that the Walmarts are located near gun ranges. Even before the first Obama craze the Huntington Beach and Westminster stores were always out of stock. That's what happens when you have a gun range within walking distance.

The Irvine store at Barranca and Von Karman has had a decent supply of .380, .40, and .45 for the last 6 months. As for the rest of the stuff .22 is non- existent.223 comes and goes but it mostly expensive and the same for .308. For hunting specially calibers there always seems to be a box or two as they don't move fast and none of them are Lead-Free.

                      This is true.

I was doing the Walmart thing in HB about 3 months ago. If you get there at 6:50 every day for a week you would get ammo. They get it in several times a week.

Since then I've learned to play the Cabelas and Gander Mountain game. I'd rather pay $5 more a brick and have it delivered to my door than waste my time at WM.

It's out there people, you just have to put a little effort in.

                      I'm set for awhile

This is pathetic. Thinking others are lazy, won't put in the time or whatever other reason they can come up with is just wrong.
I'm not going to shoot 22 until I can walk into my Walmart or LGS and buy it. I'm not going to adjust my schedule or go on an internet quest to find it. If that's lazy in your eyes, so be it. Tracking down 22 shells is not my life. Unfortunately not every one can say the same, it's become a religion.

When you say "It's out there people, you just have to put a little effort in" it infers laziness. Not putting in a "little" effort = laziness in my book. I'm just not playing the game. I'm not complaining 22 shells are not available like they once were because it's not that important to me. Do I miss it? Yes. I miss a lot of things that have changed over the years, I pick up and move on.
My choice, that's it, nothing else. Sorry if I rubbed some the wrong way.

Yeah, that whole having to be at work at 6 in the morning really makes it tough to get up earlier to stop at Wal-Mart which hasn't even open yet.
