There are a few ways to skin this cat.

Here are a regular TD and a few of the old school BC assemblies.

Drilled and tapped the TD forearm for the bipod. That's an Aimpoint on top.

The bottom is a BC backpacker mixed with a folding stock. The action fits on a piece of 8x11 paper.

The one above it is a Bullpacker with a Feddersen fluted heavy barrel and a Mueller Eraticator.
    It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.

I think mine is in ok adjustment, it feels tight. I think it's a characteristic of the gun although I will experiment with one click tighter.

I read that it shouldn't be too tight. It should have some resistance but you shouldn't have to put any real force into it. I haven't noticed any issues with accuracy with mine. I was shooting clovers at 25yds with a 1-4x20mm Leupold VX-2 scope on top and that was with taking it down and putting it together in between shots.

I think the deflection is no worse than an old school pencil barrel AR15 with a standard non floating handguard. Those deflect noticeably just with the weight of the gun leaning on something.

My non takedown 1022 deflects almost as much.

My trick bull barrel 1022's don't deflect noticeably.
