How would you implement it on a factory floor?
I realize that the technology doesn't work but, the law states it must be uses. So, use the technology that CA says exists and don't worry about it working or not. The law doesn't require it to work, it just requires it to be there. I sure don't see how companies' chooses to not send guns to CA is making a pro 2A statement. It is purely a financial decision based on the fact that it would cost too much to implement whatever technology Kamla Harris has declared exists. Sorry, I don't know how to implement it on a factory floor. This is a question for the expert who has declared that the technology exists.

That's the problem, CA DoJ does NOT say the tech exists nor does it offer ANY guidelines or descriptions of how to accomplish what they have mandated.

To give an example, what CA DoJ is mandating with microstamping is akin to mandating that all car manufacturers who sell cars in California must offer a hovercar model that runs on hydrogen. Yes, there are theoretical engines that run on hydrogen but no functional examples that work in a production line environment.

There is no way to 'just use the tech CA says exists' anymore then there is a way for me to tell you 'present me with a hydrogen engine next week because I say it exists'.

        3. adjustable rear sight
        4. Lite weight

        6. Easy to handle controls
        7. NO MODS Needed
        8. No revolver

Here is my question: With Ruger boning CA selling off stock, announcing dropping pistols from roster and making tons of cash. Basically being A-Holes.

We currently use 22/45's to train beginner Women Shooters for Women OnTarget program.
I have 6 but planned on buying 6 more over the year.
With Ruger being greedy, I won't be able to. So what other rimfire pistol can I buy that will fit the need?
        Refer to criteria above.
Grass Hopper, you have already answered your own question. The Ruger 22/45 and MKIII pistols are far and away the best and most reliable accurate pistols out of the box on the planet. I ran my 22/45 to over 30,000 rounds in Steel Challenge, without cleaning it! only lube. They are super accurate out of the box, don't need any magic mods, just fill them up and shoot them. Way back, in the way back times, when I shot Bullseye, a High Standard Victor was the bomb! But that was then, this is now.

The whole thing about any rimfire is ammo. Try a bunch of different brands, not like you can get them now, but one or two brands will be super accurate, the rest so so. Not that it matters to a Ruger 22/45/MKIII, they will shoot anything.

This is my original 30,000 round (without detail cleaning) 22/45. I originally bought if for hunting. No mods, only a sprayed with WD40...

Come on, man. You cannot think that just having the technology incorporated into the gun would pass muster. Look at the LCI requirement. A simple "window" to see brass wasn't enough for the DOJ. Firearms companies are simply being bullied in to developing a bullsh&t technology.
I do not see it as a "2A" statement, moreso a "we will not be extorted" statement.

Hey! Can you guys get back on topic? Pennysdad is looking for some help with a new pistol choice for WOT. Maybe a little information on that subject would be helpful.

Jacob, just thought I would throw this in for consideration. My M&P22 and GSG 1911-22 have been at every WOT and has been used on more than one occasion. I do get quite a few comments from the ladies that they like how the M&P handles compared to the 22/45.

Now I know the M&P & GSG are more expensive that your price range and like other's have said have not stood the test of time compared to the 22/45 but so far my 2 pistols have eaten just about anything I've fed it.

Blame the Calif. DOJ. not Ruger.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

They doing it not because they are greedy, but because they are standing up for our Second Amendment right.

Other manufacturers will also fall off roster, unless they build BS microstamping into semi-auto handguns.

Along with my three Rugers, I've brought several different .22lrs to every WOT I've attended. They just don't get pulled out because we already have enough guns for the class. But, Ray's post gave me an idea. How about all the instructors bring whatever .22lr semi autos they have to the next class and, after the class we can ask the students to handle and shoot them? Their opinions would be worth more than the opinion of "some guy on the internet". After all, first time students are the ones these guns would be bought for.

Greg, that's probably the best idea. I do appreciate all the volunteer instructors bringing out their personal 22's for the ladies to use and for the extra's that we have on had that day for backups in case something happens.

As long as the instructors do not get mags stuck in magwells backwards or put their guns together wrong.

My only fear of using instructor pistols and not training pistols is the wear and tear.
I will look into a the GSG, S&W and Browning used markets.

I'm suggesting that we use instrutor owned guns to see what first time students like the best and then use their input to help make a decision on what to get for the program.

Just for record... Ruger and S&W are NOT standing up for anyones 2A rights with allowing the weapons to fall off roster.

Standing up for our 2A IMO is not selling to anyone in the state of California. That means no shipping to Dealers for PPT, LEO, SSE or any other 3 letter acronym is out there...

OP good luck with your search. Check pawn shops. I think if you broke enough to pawn it means you were probably too broke to shoot it. Might find some jewels out there.
