And let me add that that depressurization Whooosh I hear when I crack the seal on a fresh case of ammo is so sweet I can hardly contain my glee, hehe.
When things normalize, stock up. Don't go back to your just-in-time buying habits, relying on everyone else to do the same so you can get a box whenever you like. Dig deep, eat noodles, and break serious bread to STOCK UP.

Yep, buy all you can find and afford of course. At normal pricing also. Do not encourage the scalpers.

Take this for what it is worth. But I was told Walmarts are going to be getting huge shipments of .22 ammo to their stores in the coming 3 weeks. I have a pretty reliable source on this..

It's not just that people are hoarding. A lot more people bought guns last year. Many indoor ranges only let you shoot pistol caliber, so you can use your .22 rifle there as well.

The Perris walmart had a lot of 22lr today. Like twenty bricks and a lot of the 50rd boxes.

OP, where ya been? 22LR has been hard to find since Sandy Hook... even harder to find now when all the other ammo has come back (well, with higher prices.. )

I have a Cabela's backorder (2100 rounds for $99 w/ ammo can) still pending from Jan 2013 (they send me reminders to cancel once in awhile. I'm holding out... LOL)

The shortage is not just CA.... it's all over the country.

Copy that on shortage everywhere. Here in NC, you see very little 22 in stores. Unless you consider $25 100 round boxes of minimags being available ammo.
