Where is all the .22 short?

I can't find any, even on the Internet (outside of Gunbroker). It's harder to find than even .22LR! My guess is that rimfire manufacturers are so busy producing 22LR to keep up the demand that they have very little to no time producing 22 short. I've noticed this with .22 magnum also.

Walmart in Temecula had a ton of 22 Mag this morning. 22 short - not too many people are screaming for it so, yeah you are probably right. Not enough demand.

I have no idea how reliable this is: http://ammoseek.com/ammo/22-short

I never see it on shelves any more. It is a great poaching round.

I would think that short is produced on the same machines as 22LR just with some adjustments. They probably used to make short in between 22LR runs but now they can't keep up with 22LR demand so they are not making any.

How bad do you need some and how much you need? I have a box of 50 Remington Shorts in High Velocity and 100 CCI CB Longs in a 100 pack. I would give you them for shipping price if you really need em..I do not want to mess around shipping them unless you really need em though..

This is not a open offer to anyone else. Just thought the OP may be needing some since he posted and I am offering to him only..

Depends where you are. In OC I used to see it at Walmart, Dick's sporting goods and Big 5 all the time. Got what I needed so I haven't looked lately.

What city you in and where you looking?

                      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have some. Besides using them on my Henry H001 and my revolver, I don't really see much use for it. And of course, the .22 LR does the job a .22 Short can, besides being louder I guess.

Honest question - generally what is the need for a .22 Short ammo?

The last thing my sick old chickens hear is a .22 short. Not much use otherwise.
