I use HV shorts in my Mare's Leg. Best bang for the buck in a 12" barrel.

I have 2 each 100 pack cci cb caps left use them for rats and rabbits thru my trailer window at our club. Makes little noise and out of my falling block stevens they are deadly. Makes the noise of a handclap.

Price is coming down slowly. There's no need to horde them.
Smart man, I pay half that for SK Std+ which is entry level match grade ammo. $.20 a round for CBs is highway robbery.

I'd gladly trade LR for short to locals. I have plenty LR

Honest question - generally what is the need for a .22 Short ammo?
The tube feed on the Henry will hold a lot more shorts.

My Henry shoots them. Also my grandfather's old pistol is chambered for them.

For what it's worth, here is Aguila 22 short for $5.95 a box. AG22S is the resident guru of the winchester model 74 at rimfirecentral.com forums. Since I just bought a Win 74 and waiting to transfer it, I am going to try a brick based on his posts about this brand. It is 29 grain copper plated round nose at 1095 f.p.s. It seems hard to find 22 short in local stores here.

Well Pards, I usually am giving out info not asking for it,BUT times have changed and I need ya'lls help. I came across two Model 74's the other day, mixed in with some other stuff, and since that model has never been one of my specialties I started looking in all the usual places for info...
