with the prices today, I would only buy what you need and maybe keep an extra brick on hand. that said, with previous pricing I accumulated more than 20k which has kept me shooting throughout.
the trick is that when you see a deal on it, buy it. I looked at it as I may not need it right now, but I will shoot it eventually.

I was over 10K but I've sold some to help out friends and family. I think I'm at about 8200 right now and I'm good with that. I think I'll start buying again when I 'm down to about 2000.
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I'll be at 22,000 by the end of next week. That should last awhile. I'll replenish when I drop down to 3,000 (and these are only .22lr's).

Phil, I dig it!!! I dunno if I have a goal, I shoot regularly, specially .22lr! I have a decent stash, but know what can & prolly will happen. I've been thru the '86, 2000 bans...I tend to agree, it's not hoarding if you use it. 30k or more If I have to pick a number. I used 160 rds of 5.56 yesterday & about 150 .22. I'll go again Monday or tues, don't like the wknd crowds.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

With the way CA politics have been going this year, buy it cheap and stack it deep. As we have seen, 22 was hard to find for quite awhile. You never know if or when the supply will be disrupted again.

Bingo, I know a internet mail order ban in CA is looming in the future. It'll be easy to go to Vegas and pick up 9mm and .5.56 then, but I think reasonably priced .22 lr is always going to be problematic.

Now is the time to stack it deep.
