    .22 lr ammo collection goal?

Just wondering what ya'lls goals are as far as your .22 lr ammo stock piles. At what round count will you have "enough" and stop buying?

Also .22 ammo collection pics are always good.

My latest addition, 4 Cabelas Federal 2100 cans consolidated into two cans bulk.

Getting to 100,000 is easy. Staying at 100,000 is the challenge.

Nice collection. I found 3 boxes of CCI stingers at Wally this week. When the lady came over to unlock the case she - I swear to god- said " ooh. We have .22". Bought 3 of the 4 boxes they had. Plenty of .223 for sale

Ups my reserve to about 4k. Too bad about 1500 of it is crap Remington yellow jacket
That I reluctantly only shoot in my bolt guns. Fouls the autos something ugly

Still can't find any match quality 22. And I have bought like 5 .22 guns since the panic

Nah I only need 2,000 rounds of 40 grain 22.

But I have the same approximate goal for loaded projectile weight.

I just have to wait for the Zombie heads to line up for my larger rounds.

            A little math;

100,000 rounds of 40 grain = 4,000,000 grains of projectiles

            4,000,000 grains / (155 grain 30.06, 62 grain .556, 200 grain 45 acp, 180 grain 40 acp & 158 grain 38 spc = say an average of 160 grains per cartridge) = 25,000 rounds without my cases of shotgun slugs and ammo

I think I'm a little light, I have only about 10,000 rounds loaded but I keep enough "fixin's" to get to the 25,000 rounds total on hand.

10000 RDS bulk and 5000 RDS midrange stuff (minimags, super-x, 710 gameshok)

Actually that's not true, I have about that much and I still buy if the $ is good. So I guess the actual answer is I don't know yet.

I have about 10,000 rounds and I'm good there. I don't shoot too often so this should last me at least several years.

My goal is to buy as many Federal value packs as Wally world will sell me.
However, haven't lucked into any of these since last year at Wallys. I am assuming they still get a few in from time to time? I only stop and look when I'm there for something else. Bought 150 subsonics there a few weeks ago, $3.99 a box(I think?). I've got a couple thousand rounds, pre-pannick, and the only .22 I own is a Ruger MKIII to shoot them out of anyway. For me they are better for trade value than actual use. I am assuming this mayhem will subside sooner or later and we will be able to get cheap .22 again without standing in line.

I usually stop if I have around 10k bulk, and 5k match, unless something were to go on crazy sale (but those days are gone, I think). I prefer to shoot .17hmr and .22 wmr, so I don't need much .22LR to keep me happy.

As with most things gun related I always buy if the price is right. If I find CCI at Walmart for the right price, I'll buy it. If I find 9mm at the right price, I buy it. If I find mags at the right price, I buy it.
