    I use dry spray lube on all my rimfires, no nasty mud from those dirty little rounds. OK, maybe just a little TW-25 on the rails, but everything else is dry.

      well then that must be what I got but it says on the box P22 CA. It has no internal key lock, and had the latter style grip. I wonder if they just did that with all their models.

        p22q has slide serrations that are the full height of the slide whereas the p22 only go up halfway.

            Some people love P22s some hate them.

            Its a shame the Ruger SR22 is no longer on the roster because it is a "fixed, higher quality" P22 that is reliable with all ammo.

            Mine will eat Thunderbolts all day with no issues, in fact I haven't found ammo it wont shoot. Next range trip I am going to try some 1960s production Peters .22 lr I got from a family friend that has been stored in a musky garage all these years.

              Yes I hope the Ruger SR22 gets back on the roster. It was far and away the most superior small (i.e. smaller than Mark III or Buckmark) .22 pistola.
