Got the upper today and couldn't be happier! Love the all metal aspect, and parts interchangeability. Cant wait to range test it! I got two smith mags and the better mag adapter to go with it, and the bolt hold open works as it should! The model i picked up had a bayonet lug that an old m7 kinda very loosely fit onto, but it looks awesome. I was thinking about changing the hand guards to either a free float or magpul moes, but maybe i can ask for xmas lol. Dang maybe i will ask for a taccom tube woot woot lol.

i was looking at the bcg in the cmmg upper and it looks like you could purchase the 556 chamber adapter, and swap out the part on the front of the bolt and turn it into the conversion kit for an extra $30. I may be wrong though.

You can add the chamber adapter and make it into a conversion.
Be careful when you remove the collar. If you bend the rails, it will never be right again.
Pull one rail away from the collar and roll the collar down, seperating it from the bcg.
The stainless rails are fairly tough.
