Trying to decide between 2 rifles.. help?

Hi guys. There are 2 guys selling the Mossberg 715T .22LR rifle. Both at the same price point. One rifle is the carbine style with a flat top and telescoping stock, which is awesome, BUT, its brand new in the box with no accessories. The other is selling the same rifle, but its the rifle version (think M16A4). This one has a fixed stock and an ugly carrying handle, BUT, it comes with a sling, red dot sight, and forward grip, oh and its slightly used. Which would you pick? Im really torn right now because I like the carbine version, but I know id be saving alot of cash with the included accessories on the ugly rifle version. This sucks. What would you do??

Do what you want. It's your gun and your money. I suspect you already know which one you want, you just want some validation.

Stand up and make a decision. You'll feel good about it.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.
You alone and our own have earned it with...Your sweat, blood and lives. You own it forever.

    The title is....."United States Marine".

I would get the one that gives me the warm fuzzies.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Its just an aesthetic issue I guess. One is brand new and looks cooler, but comes with no accessories. The other one is slightly used, kinda ugly, but comes with 100 bucks of free accessories. I posted this here to get ppls opinions on what they wud do if in my shoes.

I'd go with the new one.

Neither. Save up for a S&W 15-22 instead.

It's your money, of course, but the 15-22 is the best alternative to having a dedicated upper, plus it'll hold it's value a lot better if you need to sell it in the future. Take a step forward by taking a step back, my dad always used to say....

Save up. The smith and wesson is a better rifle. Switch to the ramen diet for a few weeks if you have to.

Good choice. Now don't you feel better. You can always buy accessories later.

Yeah, that Ramen diet is realy acceptable if you add an egg to it. I still do it often for lunch at work....Or one frozen chimichanga... (I want another sks)

The guy with the used one replied this morning. Said today is the only day this week he could meet. He is also willing to meet me only about 30 minutes away in Burbank. The other guy with the NIB is located in Brea, about an hour away. Im kinda iffy about him tho cuz he claims to be an FFL that operates out of a house? He answered the phone saying something armory and proceeded to tell me about how nice the city of Brea was for letting him run his FFL business from his associates house. Sound legit??

I'm only posting this because you solicited opinions. The Mossberg .22lr AR clones look look like tacky junk to me. I wouldn't buy any other .22 rifle than a Ruger 10/22 or a M&P 15-22. I would save up for it if price was an issue.
