What is the point of this statement? Two different guns, two different purposes. I'd bet that most people buy firearms based on what they need for a particular application that's in their budget, not the coolest gun they can afford based on how much money they have in their pocket.

You're "iffy" about an FFL who works out of his house, answers his phone stating his business name and likes where he lives. Because..............?

If I cud spend 500, I wud buy a Glock .40, because I am the only one in the room qualified to use it.

I looked at the mossberg. Second on the junky part. It's their plinkster with a cheap plastic ar shell. It's more like that chick at a bar who looks good when you're at the table but when you get next to her at the bar...

I got my son the mp15-22. We were going to get another 10/22 and do the tapco stock thing. The 15-22 is an awesome gun. Probably the nicest one out there by far.

I have both 10/22 and mp15-22. I love both if them. Choice should be between those two. Yeah, the mp15-22 is a bit pricey but hold it and then shoot it and you'll see why. I'd argue the 10/22 is the more accurate rifle but the mp15-22's accuracy is sufficient.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

                Home Based FFL

He answered the phone saying something armory and proceeded to tell me about how nice the city of Brea was for letting him run his FFL business from his associates house. Sound legit??
Are you talking about Redfield Armory in Brea? Sean is a stand up guy. I've used his services for FFL transfers. Just notch it up to learning something new today. Home based business exist all over this country, including firearm dealers who've done the proper legwork in acquiring a license to sell guns from their Kitchen table. I think Sean's is a dining room table. But I digress, will definitely use him in the future.

This nails it! If price is the issue, get a 10/22 now and upgrade as your cash flow allows. There are kits galore that will turn the 10/22 into an AR clone if that's what you're inclined to do. Spend the money wisely on something that will be a keeper rather than on something that will continue to disappoint..

Yep, I went today to buy it and he was definitely a nice guy. I sometimes get odd looks and attitudes because of my tatts and stuff but he was totally cool. He helped me thru all the paperwork and even showed me some optics he wud give me at his discount. We talked for while and he showed me a beautiful 1911 which I decided to buy . The only downside is the 40 min drive but I felt more comfortable at his kitchen table then at a gun store. Btw, I work from home myself, so I wasnt knocking ppl with home businesses, I just wasnt sure about gun businesses.

Wow, couldn't afford the S&W 15-22 but could pop on a 1911 just like that? Nice!! Congrats on both.

the Mossberg 715 is just a 702 inside of a cheap case. Buy a Marlin 60 and a Airsoft rifle shell and you have the same thing for less then $300.

Just PM Defcon for advice and look at what he has done. It's 100X better then a 715.

Or buy my Walther HK MP-5.
