OP, i didn't read all the post but based on your user name, i would think that the mp22 would be your top pick. I finally get to hold that baby on Monday

Anyone else has something to say about the Buckmark? A couple of folks here said they were GTG, just want to know if there are any downsides to owning one like expensive mags and what not. I think I 'm split between the Browning and Ruger MKII (if I can find one)/III or 22/45. Which one would be easier to disassemble? I have a woodsman and it is a pain in that respect. Thanks.

The Buckmark is a fine pistol just like the MK series.
My grandfather owns a Buckmark and it was the first pistol I ever shot.
              But I own Ruger MK's...

Watch videos about disassembly of each and see what you like.
              They both have their quirks.

Most of the time when people say the MK is hard to take apart they mean a detail strip of the lower. Which is not needed for cleaning. I don't find it hard to take apart MK's at all anymore.

The Buckmark takes down by two main screws.
Personally I am not a fan of 1: tools being needed for a field strip 2: screws in spots that are vital and could have their heads screwed up or the even worse the threads themselves screwed up.

(haven't watched all of this one but it seems decent. He makes it seem worse then it is because hes going over worst case scenarios and how to fix them)
Oh and removing the magazine disconnect will remove the need to insert the magazine during disassembly and assembly and make things easier.

              One thing to consider:
The upper barreled action of the Ruger is the part that is Federally the firearm.
The lower grip of the Browning is the part that is Federally the firearm.

              Whys that important?
Want to change your barrel to an aftermarket one like a TacSol?
A Browning one can be shipped to your door.
A Ruger one would have to go to an FFL and be DROS'd

On the same hand want to put a 22/45 polymer frame on your MK? No FFL needed have it shipped right to your door. (If you can find one, but they do come up once and a while)
