Remington model 12-C. Always been in the family, passed to me when my grandfather died. It has the octagon barrel, shoots straight, but the stock isn't too comfortable awhile at the range. Sorry for the crappy pics and digging this thread up. It was so good I had to contribute.

First rifle I ever got to shoot, given to me by my Grandfather. It's not exactly pretty, but has a lot of sentimental value to me. Stevens Model 53C

Sentimental favorite rifle in my collection. This Remington 511 Scoremaster (~1948) was handed down to me in 1973 by my uncle, who bought it new. I killed more soup and soda cans with this rifle...best memories I have from when I was a kid.

i love the scoremaster. I learned to shoot on one, and i still have it.

The next time you have them off the gun, I'm curious how they're marked on the inside. I've got a set in white, that was "supposed" to fit a High Standard Model B, but they fit your Colt.
Murad operated out of San Carlos, then apparently vaporized into thin air. I even tried to track down family members with no luck, trying to find out what happened to the grip molds.

i don't have any pix, but i have a Sears, JC Higgins 101, (marlin 100) i bought in OK when i was a kid in 1954-55...manually cocked, single shot...as near as i can ascertain it was made in 1939. it still shoot but I'm looking to replace the trigger and bolt as they've worn pretty badly thru the years.

First gun I ever shot, back about 55 years ago. Inherited it a few years ago. Cleaned it up a little, replaced the broken scope and I shoot it often. Shoots very very nice!
