Turners Oxnard has them both in stock. Was there today. Take down is a cool idea if you want it. I love my regular model.

can't go wrong with a 10/22 whatever model you get. I'm not a scope guy. I love irons and put tech sights on mine. They are awesome.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I handled one today at a Big 5. I felt this gun was too small in my hands. I liked the Savage in wood better.

But I think I'll wait for a CZ.

I love my 10/22 takedown. I get lots of utility out of this little thing

-taught kids how to shoot rifle
        -low cost plinking
        -small game hunting
        -NN

I bought mine for one reason- as a trunk or survival gun. it's surely not a target rifle....

Just picked mine up this morning!

I have a scoped Marlin 795 already, but I had originally bought techsights for the Marlin for an Appleseed event and realized I couldn't really see the target very well, so I bought a cheap scope for it (and shot a rifleman score eventually, once I bought a good scope MOUNT).

So I fretted about the wasted money in the Marlin techsight, then someone pointed out that if you put the dovetail mount on the Ruger 10/22, you can mount the Marlin techsight (rear) on it, and still have space for rimfire scope mounts if you want! Now all I need is a matching techsight front sight (or really, any matched front sight) and it'll be good to go!

As a takedown, I wanted to keep the scope off it. My friend has the same gun and it is tough to stick it in the case with the scope.

Maybe quick release scope mounts would work, but it would need re-zeroing every time.

But, think about what the takedown feature is good for. I mean I don't even really know why I bought it, other than to have an extra .22 lr rifle. And since the other gun is a Marlin, they can't even share mags.

I might have been better off with a standard 10/22, but then the TD is just neat. You have to decide if it's worth the premium.

My fiance works at Big 5 and bought the first one that came in. Sweet little Rifle!
My AR is 7.62x39, so that if/when we get invaded, I can shoot their ammo back at them!

Picked mine up over a month ago. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet.
Plan on using it tomorrow at an IDPA 2 gun match. We can use center fire
or rim fire at this match. Lucky all the stages are on the pistol bays. Nothing like going to a match with an unfired gun! LOL!. Will be taking my Spikes 22LR lower/ Model 1 Sales upper as a back up just in case.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting
