ok, thats what i was thinking. I have some peters cartridge 22lr somewhere. Wont shoot it just for the nostalgic value as well,
my buddy will shoot anything thats loaded. He was out blasting with an old steyr and the 8mm ammo had eagle headstamps on it . He often asks me why I have ammo over a year old

Coincidentally, I had some bricks of Hanson .22lr from the mid '80's that I barely used because my Mark I pistol did not like it very much. Also some later date Remington golden bullets that likewise I kept out of use.

Since my recent 10/22 TD purchase , I tried this stuff and bingo, no problems !!

So, as long as its kept dry, it will satisfy ! (and rhyme also).

I have some old Norma 38 special wad cutters in the ammo box also...

so just shoot the stuff. Its not going to pay for your retirement !

I found a box of 22LR from 1963 (the original receipt was in the box). The box reminded me of cartoon drawings, anyway the ammo had fallen apart, so I disposed of it right away. I wanted to keep the box but it was soaked with powered.

I had a box of .22lr ammo from the 70's that had a price tag of 72 cents. I also had three boxes from the 80's, all of it ran fine in my mp15-22. I bought it a gun show a while ago for $3 a box I wish I bought it all.

Hey, I've got a brick just like that! Never opened, and the box is very minty. Found it a few years back, don't remember where or when I got it. Your estimation of the 90's sounds about right though, as that's probably when I got it. I'll keep this stuff, just because I like the box. If I run out of .22, I won't feel bad about shooting it.

I have the same ammo I got from Dad too! Wait are we related? Lol

But for reals, I found it to be a little dirty for my semi autos and use it only in my bolt action.
