Respectfully, its akin to being asked for your ID when you write a check for a store bought item. It is assumed you will write a bad check because of the few stinkers out there who knowingly write bad checks. Unfortunately, you fall within that realm. All that I am suggesting is to 'earn your worth' by being a member (and contributing to the forum) and not a scum sucking leech.

I see your point too, and you are a recent member, but have a post count that I can't count on my fingers and toes. So now I'm conflicted. This could mean a) you really have contributed or b) you are smart enough to post a lot of random posts everywhere on CG to crack the post count up.

The issue for a lot of people is that recently this thread was deluged by newbs that all wanted information that a lot of people spent a lot of time developing. That's fine, we like to help and share, but then the Richard Craniums spread it out all over FB and other places, who then overwhelmed retail sites, who then were forced to react. This reaction made it a lot more difficult to find ammo. We all got burned for being 'fair.'

So, now, is holding back valuable information a reasonable response to a reasonable request? Yes. Is it 'fair?' Probably not, but thank the DB that ruined it.

Be patient. You'll find ammo.

Cabelas Wish List instructions are the same they have always been... why do people keep asking? I think I have seen the info every other page or more for weeks?

When you see something in stock, add it to your Wish list (maybe a bunch of times), then order it. Your wish list will hold the item for you. When they have some in stock, you will see it show on your wish list via a link and a picture of the item.
Just DONT HIT add all items to cart, EVER. (You will lose the wish list and it will all go to the cart, most of them wont be for sale and you will lose the easier access to see what they actually have in stock.)

PM not needed. When in stock, add to WL. Email WL to yourself so that you can use the external link (this prevents you from wiping out your WL on accident). Monitor the comparison link that has been posted here like a thousand times. Sometime the comparison link is G2G, other times, you will have better luck with adding from your WL. WL don't transfer like the carts did. You have to create your own to get anywhere with it. It takes time, but sooner than later, you have a bunch of stuff in a WL, and a comparison chart, and stuff just flows in here and there. Other stuff floating by PM is just experiments and short term stuff that gets nipped 2 seconds after it gets used once. If you get source code, you can tinker away, but that is about it.

Exactly. People, first, stock up if you want, but geeze some of you need help. Second, there is no secret handshake. Getting ammo takes a bit more work, but it is a more even playing field. Just use the site as it is set up.
