if the wish list does act the same like the rimfire page, then there's no need to go through the wish list route.

if i see any of these .22's in stock via WISH LIST and its NOT displaying on the front rimfire ammo page, then we're onto something.
Well if your attempts are successful---Hopefully you can use a little more discretion as to releasing it to the whole internet and crashing the system---Perhaps keep it to yourself and just post up your finds so we can join in that way---That is the intent of the thread, to post up finds---Where and when ammo is available whether it be front door, back door or side door it really doesn't matter.

You must have done that before they took down the cart links right? I happen to have just one item in mine, don't even remember how it got there. Rem Thunderbolt bricks

its the same like the old links we were using that had 24 items.

even though all 24 items are not in stock, i can load them into my wish list

            ya i know.

or i can just buy it all myself and ship it out to calgunners only AT COST and keep the ammo within commiefornia.

            none of this FB crap.

I've got links to all the individual product pages too. Is there a way to get them onto a wish list now? Or did it have to be done when they were in a cart?

yea you can do it now but i wont be divulging that information yet.

i got these individual products without a cart.

i have to see some of these go into STOCK via the wishlist before you guys get all excited.

just know that there's a way to get these products anytime into the wish list even when you dont see it on the front rimfire ammo page.

So we all know what will happen if you move it to your cart, but what happens when you email your wish list to your best pal goodoljake so he can buy you a C-day present? See screen shot. If this has been tried already my apologies.

Never mind, I emailed my one item to myself and it doesn't work. Oh well. Too bad Gander doesn't have anything for us to buy. I think I'll go cry myself to sleep now.

Sounds like way too much work for one person, but I like the idea.

By the time you reship, the price point sucks again. I just stock for what I think I'll want for a couple years plus a bunch to farm out to shooting buddies.

I don't think we should be trying to circumvent Cabela's disabling of the auto cart links. Before, it was not a hack it was right on the page and people were too lazy to see it. They just wanted a link to click-n-buy.

There is a good chance we were buying stock meant for the stores but C designed it that way not thinking it would be used as it was. When you change the HTML of a page that technically is a hack and if you could get an item into a cart before it showed in stock on the main site that would technically be a hack.

I'm all for checking stock with a wish list as that is built in and a function of the site. A modified function of the site could get you in trouble!

Technically, if the wish list shows stock before the main site then they should fix that I guess but it wouldn't be a result of monkeying with it.

All we need is a way to check stock and be first, post it and share like we did before. By the time it made it all over the net the people working hard to spot it would have theirs.

I know of two ways built into the site to check all 22 stock. What I don't know is if it will show it before the item page does. If not, we need to keep the checking method a secret and be first.

I've known for a long time how to enable a download button etc so you don't have to fill out the survey or some crap like that.

But hacking a national site doesn't sound like a good idea and then logging the evidence in your bank account! Not too bright!

Also, I think the cart links make them a lot of money on tents, boots, hats and "dresses" hahaha!!! Anyway, I think it is temporary and will be back.

What they need to fix is their inventory system to be in sync with the main site. When they scanned a shipment it went in inventory but the main site didn't update for a while, so we grabbed ammo with cart links because hitting checkout actually checked inventory and allowed you to buy it.

Now, after they disabled it I wonder if some of that ammo was flagged not to be listed on the main site ever...because Blazers were up 3 days and never went live on the item page.

Others were on gunbot and the item page in minutes but we were done by then. Maybe the links were just getting hit so much the killed them to reduce the strain on the server.

If so I think that was a mistake because now a million people will be hitting everything looking for ammo when we used to be able to check in a few seconds. Now it'll take several minutes for me to check and increase the load.

If the only problem was server load, they'll fix the links. If it was us buying reserved ammo they'll do something else like fix it where reserved ammo doesn't show up in the same system the site uses or find a way to block cart links from that ammo.

This is their first day and I think over the weekend we'll see big changes! Stay tuned.

I started a secret Facebook group back on February 13, 2014 called "The Ammo Stash". It is invisible and you can't find it by searching for it. There are only 13 of us there and 3 or 4 are from CG.

I probably have the best information available about what goes on in the FB groups and if you go back to page 4 or 5 of the OT thread you'll see me talking about what I was finding, but not how I knew.

We fanned out through the groups and reported back what was going on and then posted disinformation and about died laughing when the cart bombs showed up.

Anyway, I made individual links and never seen one, not one go out into the groups. Some of the guys are from the groups that the gougers were giving a hard time and just couldn't get ammo, so I contacted them and let them in, but I didn't give out all of the info about how exactly it worked or where it came from. I did tell them it wasn't me but rather a lot of guys who work hard to see ammo first and get some and share their links.

Most of them have jobs and couldn't monitor so it was an easy way to notify them and they still missed it if they couldn't slip off into the bathroom or something, so some still don't have but 1000-1500 or so.

I quit buying two weeks ago as did a couple of others who were in on it when there was just 4 of us. I don't know exactly why C shut down the links but I do know exactly where the links went that were posted on CG!

First they hit SW, then the Survival board and it was usually 10-20 minutes before they hit a FB group but sometimes it was there before I knew about it.

I checked a lot and seen it first a few times and posted to CG and my guys at the same time. On Bucket/crash day 3/3, me and the first guy I told are the only ones who got a bucket because he was good help with checking stock.

He is a member here but I don't know which one. He might not ever talk but I know he reads it. One day I was laughing about something someone said and told him I hoped it wasn't him and that I didn't offend him.

Anyway, it was about two or three weeks after we started watching that links showed up in FB groups. Just thought I'd let you guys know, we were the super secret covert arm of CG, so secret CG didn't even know.
