My buddy went to Cabela's this morning where they had advertised 22lr in stock (granted, they were the M22's) for sale Saturday morning at 8am. He showed up and the line stretched for several hundred yards and consisted of at least a thousand people, some of whom had been in line since 3:30am. Obviously the majority of them left with zilch.

I won't feel comfortable with completely stopping buying 22lr until scenes like you see below are part of history. I'm not frantic to buy, but just persistent and consistent.

This thread has spoiled me I must admit, I went a couple of weeks without buying the Blazers that were available but once the whole FB link breaking, arguing brother against brother Civil War style posts, and Cabelas & gun show pic madness reminded me what the "real world" is still going through I will keep investing in .22LR.

In other words, just bought some more...and I'm buying accessories for .22s I don't even own yet, but plan to buy soon, now that I got the ammo to feed them once I do.

So how much do you figure you could get for one of the bricks of "just Blazers" to folks at the end of that line??

LOL! You know, after posting the pic I wondered how much extra business I may have drummed up for Cabela's. Maybe I should call Customer Service and ask for a discount or finder's fee.

The funny thing is that I jokingly told my buddy I could have rolled over there and caught people as they left Cabela's empty-handed and disappointed and made a handsome profit (or gotten robbed). I probably would have even thrown in a complimentary Allegra sample. Talk about a seller's market!

My local online gun classifieds has people trying to get $50 for a brick, but they usually don't sell until they are $40 or less. utahgunexchange.com

At the range, I was offered $60 each for a Blazer brick and Winchester 525 white box. The pro shop at the range had Remington Vipers at $17 per 100 (2 sleeve limit) and Remington 225 at $32 each with a two box limit.

I guess this is what happens when you advertise M-22 22LR at 4.5 cents per round as a door buster... Looks about as crowded as Wal-Mart on Black Friday... I wonder how many they had at each store.

Its great to see Cabelas and CCI stepping up their game and getting .22 lr out there to shooters.
