Ammo Finds - Post them here

Champion Can's were available 3 times last year.

I'm still waiting for my unicorn. The 1600 ammo can.

I don't think I've seen it once the past year and midway has it "coming soon" the past 7 months

Last 1's dropped were from Midway and Gander last Spring/Summer so I'd say were more than due for 'em.
(I believe when we were still limited to 5 or right around the change to 10.)
Somebody posted that he talked with GM Store Staff(A Friend?) earlier this month & they said they've been getting a few In-store,
but the employees put 'em aside snatching 'em up never to be seen again...
BTW Mid's been overdue on 'em so it should be soon...

Will we ever see 2100 ammo Cans again?

Big C just had them after BF during the holiday sales for $99 w/FREE Ship.
Many of us got them and were able to put in BOs' that we're still waiting on.
Prior to that it was during the summer.
They seem to be available about every 4/5mo or so.
at least the last drops were...

Will we ever see 2100 ammo Cans again?

I had a BO on that, and it was 2/25 then it became 3/25. Voices in my head say mid to late summer if ever.

OK...As I have nothing pending but back-orders from Cabela's for CCI Blazers from nearly 2 weeks ago, I sent them an e-mail for status updates. I figure this item has been available for 2-3 days but my back-orders still show "in process". My gut tells me these back-orders have been over-looked. Don't mind if they get cancelled - I don't like open orders.

Hopefully I'l get a response (one way or the other) by end of day/tomorrow.

I'm impressed. Received an e-mail response within 2 hours that orders will be filled today or tomorrow.

If you think they are being selectively lazy, you might try calling a few times and just hang up if you get the same person twice.

Just tried 2 different operators.
One seemed to check "another avenue". Sorry
The second appeared to do the basic check, then asked if it was .22 ammo, (yes maam) and said "oh we havent had any .22 ammo in stock in forever"
I give up on my conspiracy theory.
Cant go any further without tipping my hand..

OK quick poll as to give me an opinion on a couple bulk ammo items I have not shot. Overall how would you rank the below from best to worst, price aside:

Federal Champion, Blazer, M22, Thunderbolt

Of the above I have only shot Federal so I wanted a comparison.

OK quick poll as to give me an opinion on a couple bulk ammo items I have not shot. Overall how would you rank the below from best to worst, price aside:

Federal Champion, Blazer, M22, Thunderbolt

Of the above I have only shot Federal so I wanted a comparison.

For myself, M22 and Federal are equal but I do slightly favor the M22s because its 40GR vs 36GR. Then Blazer and Thunderbolt (Thunderbolts shoot well but a little dirtier then Blazers).

How it works w/Midway

what is a page minder? I have some backorders from midway and I thought they were supposed to be filled automatically. If I have to fight with the rest of the crowd for something I backordered, I don't know what the point is. I thought it was a "get in line" sorta deal.

Page minder/monitor would be like Alertbox.

Mid's a bit different then the others...
Usually when things are working well:
You'll get a notification email.
Go to your account and login.
Click on Current BOs under Acc Managment.
If it's In-stock you're able to add to your cart and checkout.

I guess they do that so there's no CC surprises,
also if needed, you can add other stuff(They hope.) to your order.
Never let it be said they don't give U every opportunity to pad the bill.
Seriously though you might have targets, etc. to add and would rather save on Shipping...

I said when it works well, 'cause as of late, like the stock notification,
It seems to be a crapshoot.
Say they have less stock then pending BOs,
U might get the email late or not at all.
(This doesn't mean U lose your BO...just have to wait till next stock.)
So a monitoring system or buddies are a big help.

If setting up such system is a slight bit above your pay grade,
get some of your buds that have ordered the same item as U.
(U did tip them off about the BO's when they were available, right?)
This way hopefully they're able to monitor it for you or,
Hopefully 1 of you gets the notification to alert the others.

We were doing this over at AKF last year waiting on the orders we put in just before the feeding frenzy began.

Are blazers good ammo?

I've been holding off on everything because I've just been waiting for CCI subsonic, standard and CPRN mini mags

Your answer to this was one page back about 10 posts ago.... they are the same as CCI mini mag but lack the copper coating... dont throw them in loose pack and you will be fine
