Hard to tell from the pic but they're obviously sitting in some kind of tray. Maybe cardboard? I doubt they would use plastic inside a cardboard box.

You ever see how they come in a case of 2000 or 5000?? Five slides are in a cardboard case that's open at the top and cut diagonally. As I said, there's five slides to the "carton". When you get 1000 rounds at Gander, you get two cartons.

I was told the new Tacticals' carton holds three slides. Since Cabelas sells these for $8.99 each, I guess you could say you are saving $3 instead of buying three separate slides. It's still a rip off, keeping the price the same for 75 less rounds.

right, imagine taking three sliders, removing the outer plastic box and sticking only the trays filled with ammo and in a cardboard box, thats the new packaging for the tacticals

Yea that's what I meant, the inside trays in the cardboard box. Just like their 50rd standard velocity boxes.

I don't much care for those dividers. The ones I like are the heavier plastic ones like you get with Fed American Eagle. I like those even better than the mini-mag slides. (except for the fact that they only hold 40)

the federal 50 rounders, game shok, target lrn etc have those in 50 flavor. i like them better too because they support the weight of the box and the rounds dont touch anything else and are suspended.

anyways someone posted the actual open package a few pages back, and they look like this, as you can see cardboard inserts now take the place of the plastic notches to keep the trays suspended

I bought a new S&W 15-22 in late December. So I called Remington ammo in Arkansas and talked to a man in the office, he told me they are doubling the 22lr output, with the new plant opening 2nd quarter. This should help. I also called CCI in Idaho, talked to a security guard ,he said plant was shut down for 2 weeks for the holidays. My belief is we are going to see more this summer, I have to feed my hungry S&W And thank you to all on the list as I am sittin pretty with 22lr BiggB

The ones I've seen so far in hard case sliders are---CCI Mini/Maxi's 100, Winchester SuperX 100 and what you just posted Fed Amer Eagle 40---Are there others packaged this way?

CCI Standard Velocity also comes in the 100 round hard sliders.

Winchester Super X has always come in hard case sliders, since I can remember back to the early 80's.
