I would ask that those of you that are running scripts to please tune out the "noise" and remember for every complainer there are several of us out there who are happy for the help.

I'd run the scripts myself but can't at work...but I can check here from time to time.

This is an awesome opportunity to buy ammo at pre-obama prices.
Massive thanks to all the guys that are doing the work that I am benefitting from.
I had seen this "ammo finds " threads many times but hadnt paid any attention.
I was assuming it was just guys just lke me scouring retailer sites and gunbot etc.
When I finally took a closer look it opened a door to ammo and just plain good fun, which is what this whole thing is supposed to be about in the first place.
A MILLION THANKS TO ALL OF THE INTERNET AMMO DETECTIVES THAT HAVE HELPED MANY OF US SCORE.

Time to teach the complainers to fish.

You guys know if you're really desperate for ammo you're better off just running the checks yourself. There are several browser extensions that will check to see if a page changes. There's a bunch of stand alone programs like Simon (on the Mac) that will check to see if a page changes and if it does it'll just open it in a browser. To make these things efficient you just look at what companies have been getting ammo recently and pick a few things you would like (CCI Standard and mini mags at Gander as an example, or as another example federal bulk packs at every major supplier) and use the DIRECT URLs since a lot of these companies don't update their search pages quickly enough.

You'll know about the finds within a minute of them going up, and be amazed at just how slow gunbot is when they eventually get posted. You'll be amazed that checkout actually goes fast when you start it before everybody else. You'll be the guy that causes the item to vanish out of somebody else's cart for a change.

Then post it here. Eventually (and I mean a couple of weeks) even being picky you'll have so much ammo your credit card becomes the weak point and before it turns into a molten pool of plastic you show some restraint. Then you post finds for your dear friends here. Until one too many complainers pisses you off and you turn off your program until you need it again.

and for those really tired of the chat, there are over 10000 posts to research and some even have links that you can bookmark for your own PERSONAL use and cut out the middle man.
It's a nod to the success of this thread that we have folks who don't even live in CA joining calguns to find ammo.

Was in the El Centro Wally's yesterday morning. They had a sign on the ammo case stating that they stock the shelves @ 4:30 pm and there is a 3 limit per family.

Those near the border might want to check it out.

BTW my order for the GB from Cabellas placed on 2/3 is in transit and will arrive on 2/11.

Probably walmarts online inventory which is notoriously glitchy when it comes to that federal bulk pack.

It isn't so much the inventory that is glitchy as the workers are squirreling it away.

Unfortunately there's always someone who will pay that price. Look at the prices some of the gougers charge. I wonder if they really sell out, or just say so and put it back up at a later date. This gives the impression that people are buying them at that high price.
