I think everyone threw everything they had into the christmas season. Might be extra slow for the next month or so.
Maybe next year it will start to slowly come back(I hope).

Lucky Gunner can go pound sand along with Cheaper Than Dirt. That is disgusting for them to try to rip off the shooting community like that.

Check into this thread often during the week and there are plenty of 4, 5, and 6 cent a round .22 lr deals from Gander and Cabelas. Availability is only going to get better from here.

Its cold/icy/snowy winter in most of the US so less people shooting and putting pressure on the ammo supply chain.

well, I hope it gets to where those prices are available

right now, i think if you want quick delivery on deals like that you need to sit on your computer for hours constantly scanning search engines/major online retailers and then react instantly -- it also is necessary to have an account already set up with that retailer or by the time you enter your shipping info, the stuff you want will be sold out--and for all your hours/days of waiting you may get one or two lots of 500-1000 rounds

so if you need quick delivery, paying more like .10-.15 is good, and .20 may be necessary if you really need to.

if however you can wait, you can get the deals .05-.08 per round if you put stuff on backorder (for example MidwayUSA and be willing to wait 6-9 months)

so really, one needs to manage one's ammo supply like a purchasing manager...planning out your ammo needs for the year and placing orders as needed...and if your on-hand supply is low, one will have to pay a little more in the short run
