sorry if this is a moonlanding...
but for those of us with Bucket of Bullets (1400 rds) on backorder with MidwayUSA...
the product shows a new expected date of 6/4/2014, it was 12/31/13 a few days ago...
i don't know if that means MidwayUSA will not be getting a shipment until 6/4/14 (that is, the 12/31/13 expected delivery is deferred)...or it will be receiving a shipment by 12/31/13 shipment but that shipment has been fully sold out before receipt...i will call/email customer service tomorrow to ask unless someone posts the answer in this thread

I was eating a plate of California Condor last night, and I found a lead-free .22 caliber bullet in it.
Geez... now how did that get in there?
Does that count as an "ammo find"?

That midway news sucks. I hope that the new dates are only for any new orders, 'cause I've got 2 on backorder w/them, and I am striking out on all of the .22 Rimfire finds posted here. I check this thread and gander and cabela's and midway and every other damn site dozens and dozens of times throughout each day, and yet every time I see deal and link out...it's oos/too bad so sad.
I've also hit every Walmart within a 15 mile radius, many times, and that's a lot of W/M's. W/M's...never liked 'em, but that's a different story. A big fat zero at W/M every time at every one that I stop by, no matter the online search tips, the app, etc. Same with Turner's and Big 5. The story is also the same, every time: "It's the same guys showing up here every time we get it in, like they know it'll be here, and it's like opening the doors at a rock concert." Same story everywhere.
If I happen to get lucky someday, and stop by at the same time as these "same guys," am I going to have run for the ammo, throwing elbows and fists all the way, or does everyone maintain their manners and operate on the honor system, "he was here first," etc.?Comment

I have some other 22 ammo on back order and i called yesterday to talk with them. I asked if she knew if they were still getting this in this month. The lady told me that on the stuff I ordered; the company has stopped giving them updates and that they have stopped taking back orders on it and did not know much of anything on it.
I hope they get it in but I'm not too concerned about it as I have plenty of other ammo to shoot.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Midway keeps their word with backorders you just have to be patient and wait. So far I've got a case of Federal AE 38 gr, Federal bulk 36gr(both backordered Dec 2012). I also got my Buck O Bullets in a week after backordering, and a 5000 round case of CCI Minimags three weeks after backordering.
Not trying to brag just saying they do come through.Comment
