Actually Sue's Husband -
Good to see more and more people refusing to pay rip off prices for .22 lr ammo. This is a sign that the panic is closer to coming to a end.
I admit a couple months ago I would order all the .22 lr ammo Midway posted in stock without even thinking about it, and I didn't care about shipping. Not anymore, better deals can be found and now I have enough .22 I can wait for a good deal. With SB53 out of the picture for the time being, its takes the panic out of trying to get ammo.
No more rip off .22 lr for me!Comment

What do you consider "rip off" pricing? The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either.

I've been buying them for $8.49 with no shipping cost to the nearest Cabela's. Yes it's only 100 rounds a day but it adds up. Then I make the 40 mile roundtrip drive once a month and pick everything up.Comment

If I didn't have a stash of CCI mini-mags I would probably still buy at $.10 a round. Some of us can be picky now, but some are just starting to build up their little cache. My mindset a few months ago was buy buy buy and 1 or 2 cents here or there didn't matter to me because I had almost nothing. In the long run the prices average out anyways specially when you're able to get a good no shipping or no limit deal.
Everyone has their own comfort level on what they're willing to pay. Stick to your own personal level and don't think about what everyone else's is. I've done the math and honestly I'd prefer people refuse to buy minimags from Midway because of their high shipping costs. It just means when I start buying again there's less competition and I have a better chance at getting my measly 5 boxes. So everyone that doesn't want to buy from Midway because they have super duper high shipping, please don't buy from them. You'll be happy and those that wan't to buy from them will be happy too. It's a win-win.Comment

They will only hold it for ten days..................unless you call them and ask them to hold it longer. When they ship to the store is when they bill you so at that point YOU own it not them and it would be hard for them to take it back. I went on a trip in August and didn't pick anything up for six weeks. I called the store it was shipped to and made arrangements with them to unpack all my orders and consolidate them into one smaller package.Comment
