tag... I would really like to find some 22lr. I have looked all over San Bernardino and found nothing. I’m actually more upset of stores being out of 22s than 223/556 because I love to plink.

I went looking for .22. Saw a bit of .17hmr and .22WMR at brea WM and turners in Orange. Turners also had some off brand .308 range ammo that looked decent and a bit of .45acp but I couldn't figure out the price. Both big fives were picked clean and don't bother with Walmart in Orange unless you were always wondering what the back of the case looks like:

Bullseye in Riverside got probably 50 boxes of .22 (500 per box) in today...I'd get over there though as he sold like 8 while I was standing there. It's a brand called Centurion and they were getting $40 per box...

            not a fan.

def wouldn't shoot out of a handgun (many FTE and debris blast to face/glasses) after my last experience with them. least with a 10/22 and similiar all you dealing with is FTE

                Thanks for the responses.

10/22 and Mk II Target (6-7/8") are the primary training firearms and the boys go through a few hundred rounds ea. per trip.

I'll post and let you know how it shoots the next time out.

                Thanks.

I have always found the Golden bullet HV to work, had major problems with the standard stuff though(like 1 in 10 wouldnt fire, at all).

                  Could be they fixed it.

Yea, it's dirty, but I have never had a problem with that since I clean my guns after every trip anyway.

Besides, I also shoot Black Powder, you want dirty...

Just checked Champion shooters supply (google it) and they have Federal 711B, winchester t-22, and power point, and some lapua high end match 22lr left. Prices are still the same. No sales tax and their shipping is not exorbitant.

                        Ammo Bass Pro

Stopped by Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga on my way home tonight around 8:30. Had plenty of 12, 20, and .410 shot shells. Remington 00 buck and slugs. Lots of rifle ammo but no .223 or .308. Did have bulk Remington/UMC .380, Remington and Winchester .38, .38+p, Winchester .40, and Winchester .45.
Were stocking shelves with additional ammo when I left. Salesperson stated they are taking deposits on 60 Bushmaster .223 expected soon. No price yet.

Honestly I have never had a problem with the Remington products. Perhaps I'm just lucky, but at least you have some range fodder to let your friends shoot up (that is more than what most of us are finding lately).

Hate them, but better than nothing

more duds than any other .22lr bulk ammo I have ever experienced and also the bullet heads are the most loose I have ever seen

My ruger 10/22 mows through just about every brand of ammo I have ever ran through it. I get FTF's every once in a while, but they are easy to clear and its back to business in no time.

I also own a walther p22. And that gun only loves CCI mini mags. It will shoot bulk ammo, but it doesn't eject consistently with the bulk stuff. But any way you cut it, 22 ammo is cheap and will still do the job in a pinch.
