I think you're right that a good ammo can and desiccant pack is just as good as the Fresh Fire can. I think it's a brilliant marketing ploy though. They got me to actively seek them out, despite the fact that I believe it's basically a gimmick. It does give you a certain sense of security to fondle that can. I guess I'd say I like the cans even though I know I'm being manipulated. Just got the first one yesterday, so I can't really say I have any experience with them.

So what's the deal with the FreshFire cans, are they sealed different or have silica inside??

One thing to note about Adventure Outdoors... they make you click and agree to this on a lot of the ammo:

"Items listed on this website are not necessarily stocked or kept in stock in our Smyrna store location; the information is pulled from an off-site warehouse and not from the store's physical inventory. Some brands that we carry may not be represented on the website and vice versa. To confirm stock before ordering, please contact us by phone at (770)333-9880 or email us at sales@adventureoutdoors.us.

Once an item is ordered, your order information is sent to our office for processing. If the item ordered is in stock or readily available through a distributor we will process your order and charge your card. If the item is not available, or will take an extended time to acquire then you will be contacted with an option to proceed with a special order. We request a period of 30 days to fill any order or special order."

Also, this strange message when ordering:

"Products marked with *** dont exist in desired quantity in our stock."

And I'm getting that message on most things, even at a quantity of one.

It might be fine, just thought I'd point that out.

Adventureoutdoors will put your order into BO and then contact you to find out if you want to special order. They say they will not charge your card if inventory is not currently available. Right now these and most other options I check do not have the inventory to ship an order.

Hey all thank you very much for your hard work in finding these links and educating us in how they work. I have managed to get more 22 in the last couple of weeks than I did all last year. Been helping a couple of friends as well they has been getting even less than me.

                        : resume lurk mode.

Still not a bad price if they can deliver the product in a reasonable time.

Sealed with nitrogen, so they don't need silica gel.
