I think the inventory computer gets updated when stuff is offloaded and scanned...every so often the site checks inventory and updates the main site.

When you directly add it to the cart it just checks the inventory system and allows you to place the order. This does not explain why some get canceled except that during checkout the system doesn't know which ones will clear so it places them all.

Later, on review some get canceled. This is just what it looks like to me.

The second, which is what I think happened this time, is there was a mistake in availability. It they sell out quicker than the computer can keep up, it usually goes into backorder, and may get eventually canceled. If they never had it to begin with, they will cancel all the orders across the board. From what I've seen, the orders placed on 1-21 for the M-22 for the most part have been canceled.

My M22 is showing Backordered from the 21st purchase date. I believe my email said sometime in February when its coming back in stock.

That being said I originally ordered more than 1 that Friday it came to be passed around that they were in stock. Everyone was having problems getting it to be ordered and most people were having success on phone ordering w/Iphone/android types. I tried both on the phone and when it showed finally on the PC I ordered another too, just in case. Well they canceled them and reasoning it showed on email was "canceled-changed mind"

You might check where the order is originating from. My earlier order of M-22 is coming from Sharon, Ohio. It was delayed two days due to weather. I was supposed to receive it today, but it only left Ohio yesterday. My bucket order has shown shipped for two days now, but has yet to be picked up by UPS. Until it does, I can't tell where it's coming from. But's it's also probably from somewhere in the east. A lot of stuff gets shipped out of eastern PA.

Most of mine come out of Triadelphia, WV, which is the eastern PA one I think you are talking about - right in the tri-state area between OH, WV, and PA (like I need to explain it to you ). If yours came out of Ohio, that is even more perplexing because you would think they would source based on availability and then location, meaning mine should have come out of Sharon as well. Oh well, like someone else said, there have been THOUSANDS of rounds available in the past few weeks. Patience is a virtue (and perhaps WV never got any in the first place).

Here is where my 1/17/14 M22 came from:

They printed the label on the 20th at 8:50 PM. On the 21st I ordered another that was canceled. This is my only order ever so it is all I have to go by.

Hit Walmart today for 100pks of 9mm at $25.77. They had Stingers, which I don't shoot. They also had 100 pks of .380 WWB, which I've never seen there.

I think there is overlap in the process. We all have carts with ammo the computer system thinks it's availible and has allowed them in the carts and through. When it reconciles with the inventory it washed the extra orders out. Realtime inventory management is a challenge especially across states. Plus employee
s may be grabbing what they can. IT guy :-)

My last order from Gander was 7 boxes of Winchester x 100 packs and 1 CCI choot em's pack. The Winchesters shipped out yesterday but the choot em's say they are backordered but expected soon. Kinda sucks cuz I ordered them within 2 min of them being posted lol. But Im not starving for .22lr anyway so no biggie I guess.

Excuse me, it originated in New Stanton, PA. It was passing through Sharonville when it was delayed. I didn't get much right there.

That's my old stomping grounds in WESTERN PA. Nothing was right about my above statement.

My choot 'ems arrived an hour ago. I ordered one with a Fed 525 box and one with some Mini Mags. Gander let both orders go.
