Well yeah, mine was $12, but hey, there isn't ANY locally. At all.
I have a bucket of that remington stuff on b-o at Midway. If that comes in next month I'll be set for awhile. Hmmm...unless I get one of those AR22's. LOL.

If I can get some 45 casings, either shoot them or inherit them, I can reload some. My buddy is lending me his reloading bench with all the tools. Whoot!

Sometimes I think all this great priced ammo is still OVERPRICED based on what it is... .22 for Pete's sake, right? I remember when it was .89 or .99 a box for everything at Walmart, Kmart, or Gemco or wherever. But I make four times more than I did back then so I am still ok with average price per box (50 rounds) at under $3 for the bulk stuff.

It would be nice to have a TIME MACHINE to go back and buy some cases of cheap ammo on today's salaries, hahah. I'd probably spend every last penny buying dirt cheap C&R's and crates of Colt AR-15's from BIG R.

Ahh yes .. the good ole days .. Gemco and White Front .. long before the "Marts" showed up out here. Problem is .. copper wasn't four bucks a pound, and lead wasn't a dollar per. Another factor is that our domestic 22lr production of 4.2B/annum is tapped out .. hence the plethora of 1st & 3rd world brands .. demand exceeds supply. You can still buy bullets, but don't get caught melting them down to make wheel weights

I have been getting it at Graf's lately as low as $13 a box for Lake City 149 (which is about .66 per round but closer to .77 shipped). Not bad at all considering you can buy a few boxes at a time if you want to explode a Spanish Mauser or something.

Curious, what did they do over at slickguns? I had an issue with these guys sending me a used item advertised as new. Went back and forth with pictures, etc. Finally said they'll take it back but on my dime. Credit card company told me they couldn't help because they offered to refund my purchase price only. Hope they go under.

LOL cruffers .. Spanish Mauser indeed .. tragic for the shooter though. M80 would probably be ok .. .308 not so much. M80 uses dual base powder .. civilian .308 might be too hot a load. Just got an email from Natchez .. whole page was .308/7.62 .. ?? The AR-10A's I guess. Essayons!
