I picked up 1,000 rounds of CCI Standard Velocity LRN at my local Gander Mountain in Wisconsin this week. $4.99/box with a 10 box max per day. They had 20ish packs (10 boxes of 50, 500 in the pack) on the shelves. I would pick up more, but I have 5,000 rounds on hand right now.

She's not really into the whole gun rights or ammo stockpile thing. Thank goodness our money is still separate.
Well .. you are on Calguns .. probably live in California. Ya can't eat ammo, and a 9.0 will cut off even the most inveterate of Walmart or Safeway drivers. You handle the "security" stuff, and have "Her" in charge of the "Survival" stuff .. like .. food. This isn't "tin-hat" stuff .. just common sense. When you look what happened to the victims of Katrina .. Sandy .. 10k of 22LR won't feed ya'all. I suggest you bring your significant "Other" into a broader spectrum of how to survive some catastrophic scenario. "Zombies" won't be your first concern within 3 or 4 days. "Dang .. we're outta Marie Calender's!"

She (or he) should be a Participant .. not an adversary within your commons. If you possess firearms and munitions within your close, certainly your significant other should be thoroughly trained how to use them, and familiar with their philosophy of use.

She (he) doesn't have to embrace or love them, but like a fire extinguisher, should feel comfortable having them around, and know how to use them when the circumstances warrant their use, other than for training. Explain this, and embrace rather than disenchant or make your significant other feel disenfranchised, and delegate. You are not a 12 year old hiding a condom from your mama in the late fifties .. get real with sharing .. or splitting the sheets.

Obligatory Mono (kissies) ammo find .. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm...tion%20100/box .. 11 cents per round .. not subsonic ... not including shipping .. such a deal

And I posted a 100% totally Legitimate Rim Fire find. Can't you read? You are excused as requested. Excuuuuse me worked for Steve Martin .. but not for you. Why get your panties in a ruffle? I posted a legitimate .22LR ammo link .. and you have the temerity to just post such a bogus sophomoric little splat? I'd maybe expected that from Mono, but not from you amigo.

And BTW .. Mr Mono was just whining about ammo finds .. not Just 22LR .. so I gave him one for .22LR, and one for the rest of us that may not be so caliber encumbered .. as it were. He has contributed nothing but fodder for discontent here, and you think I am fair game for ball busting. I did my 30 .. tall grass says finding some socom deserved mentioning. Cheers!

Woah there cowboy...apparently SARCASM escapes you. Just a nod to the other popular thread police quote here. Didn't mean to get YOUR panties in a wad. I was just beginning to enjoy your subtle humor. I guess mine was too subtle. You sound a little grumpy. Are you feeling unfresh? I can have some Massingill shipped to coincide with your next ammo delivery. And as another nod to Mono, I won't even post a find. Cheers...."amigo"

OH I am ok with sharing, but everyone is not into prepping. Some spouses or GF's will always think you are nuts for planning ahead too much, and it may be more of a thing she lets you handle and accepts it - but never really gets it. She gets security and values it, and knows all the reasons I buy ammo and more guns - pending legislation, ammo shortage, etc... she is pretty cool. She checks Walmart shelves for me and reports back with a cell pic if she happens to be there, etc... but she also has a pretty good idea how expensive guns and ammo are and more importantly the TIME I spend hunting for it. I see both sides, but there are two sides, hahahah.

Truth be told it is MY FAULT. I lied. I told her I was DONE ORDERING and LEVELS WERE GOOD quite a few times Occasional orders from AMAZON that happen to be surprise packages for HER (NOT ME) help alot. I recommend shoes and Jewelry if you can find that online for your spouse. We both work out a lot, so I buy her pre-workout, kettlebells, bands, whey isolate, etc... that helps. Plenty of common interests here, just not guns and ammo and I am STILL glad we don't share bank accounts.
