Hard to understand why the federal match is .50 a round vs. all the other match ammo

Federal tends to gouge hard on all their match grade ammo. I just roll my own match then I wont have to get ripped off.

Its something to do with the website, because earlier I couldn't add from the link, but was able to do checkout though my wishlist.

Been trying for months to pick up some Mini Mags or the AR Tacticals. Missed them every time! Very frustrating. Can anyone help a brother out? Geez. OK, I'm better now. I never catch the drops during the day as I can't monitor from work.

            ????
If you roll your own rimfire, why you here?
And the quality of the UM22 is way better than the bulk stuff. It also seems it's made by RWS now. That might explain the jump in price from $18/50 to $25/50.

Where are you able to find commercially available rimfire priming compound? Do you make your own?

PSA has CCI Standard Velocity with a wobble target for $47. Not a deal in my
                Opinion, but it's there.

Sorry I meant for other calibers, practically impossible to make your own at home for 22lrs. Sorry for the misunderstanding I make my own match calibers for 223 and 308.

It's not just the priming compound. The manufacture of rimfire ammo is a highly mechanized process. It's not at all like reloading centerfire cartridges. This is the main reason .22 is so hard to find. The machines required to manufacture it are expensive and arent just available to purchase, even by the big manufacturers. Add to that the level of accracy required to make highly accurate match ammo.....if the priming compound is not evenly distributed in the rim, it will not burn uniformly, causing inaccuracy at the start of the ignition procees, which then snowballs through the entire firing sequence.

Like I said, if you have the capability to make your own .22 why be on this thread. The marketplace forum would be the place to be

Here's a little info on it... Seems CCI took down their production video from Youtube.
Now that the .22 ammo shortage is all but a thing of the past, we no longer have to ask, "Where's the ammo?" Now it's time to appreciate that this round exists at all, considering the incredible amount of work that goes into producing each one of the diminutive little rounds.

Here's another redneck way of doing it. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME KIDDIES...

The following information is provided for informational purposes only.

Backwoodsman magazine, July-August 2001, "Reload Those Rimfires" by Robert Miller
                    Summary:
                    1) Wash and dry brass, paying attention to the inside of rim.
                    2) Get strike-anywhere matches, cut off the white tips, mist lightly with water, gently mash and stir until you get a thick dough.
                    3) Put a little into the case and press firmly into the rim with a nail head.
                    4) Long-term air-dry the primed cases, or for higher risk, in a 200 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes, test if dry with a wooden toothpick, chamber a case and test
                    fire primer.

AGAIN, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. It is in all likelihood not legal anyway.

Not too terrible, considering they were selling choot em's in the 375 box not too long ago for $65. Maybe they are beginning to see the light finally. I've scored some good deals from them on Federal .308 match ammo in the past.

That seems pretty expensive. Thats close to 19cents a round + shipping. For standard velocity

But you get a $25.00 target too that's probably $10 at the local sporting goods store.

That is a little steep. The best match ammo out of my rifle, is Eley Tenex, or Lapua Midas +. Both of these are cheaper than the Federal by about $4-6/50

                              Exactly
It seems as if PSA has taken slight advantage of the 22 surge. You know they are getting them for the old regular price. Lets subtract the $10 target, which costs them $1 each. 250 round of CCI Standard for $36.99 or $73.98 a brick.
