Just dumb luck. I sent my wife's wish list to her email. When I did it, it was not available. 30 seconds later while looking at the email, it was available so I bought one. By the time I checked my wish list it was gone. No more than one minute has transpired. I'm sure it will never happen to me again.

Yeah, they are shipping yesterdays and you picked up a canceled order.

Worked like that with cart links too, the day after a good load you might get one...I loved watching the FB guys saying I ordered 5k, 10 orders!

doesn't work that way shopping carts did.

if you try to order from the email, it will remove it from that person's wishlist since it's tied to that person's account.

Are they transferrable???? Once you email someone your wish list and they use it to buy something for themselves, it's gone from your list??

so the only way to get an item in your wish list is to add it when it shows instock

Not really. I've played with it. You can screw up your own list (ask me how I know - I only have about 7 of the items out of the 30 I had), but you can't screw it up in guest view (including your own). Just open the email link instead of clicking the wishlist link on the site. If you see requested/received qtys, you are safe.

I bot a brick of cabelas blazers this morning and I got a backorder email confirmation for 4/30 then I ordered another brick this afternoon and I got an in stock and will arrive on 4/11 notice. . .what the . . . ? ??

Maybe they will cancel both of your orders since you double dipped today?
