Yep, saw Buckets on gunbroker the other day at $150 with a couple hours left.
I guess somebody thats a 21 year old new shooter doesn't "remember" the good old days like most of us do.
The first half of 2010 I bought 3 or 4 bricks of Federals a month for $18.99 per.
A dozen bricks in hand, then I bought a couple of .22s to shoot em in.
I don't think the current generation of shooters thinks that way.

Some guys just aren't price sensitive at all, and they don't want to deal with hunting online for ammo or driving around to stores or all that. I had one guy who had just bought his wife a .22 and didn't realize just how bad the ammo situation was contact me and basically say if we can meet today I'll drive to your location right now and pay you gunbroker prices just so I can have ammo in hand before my wife comes home and I look like a moron when we don't have anything to shoot tomorrow...

That sounds more like a marriage issue than ammo issue
But I get your point.
Ive told several about how we get it here and all, but one, pretty much said "oh wow cool but I dont have time for that".
I am a lot less harsh with scalpers than I was a few weeks ago.
There is always a hardcore like us who will squeeze the last nickle out of a 20.
Most of America isnt like us anymore

Time? I guess, if I had to go to a desk to do a cart check, I wouldn't either, but for me it isn't time, it is a minor distraction at most. I don't penny pinch as much as I probably should (hence the mudslide of ammo showing up darn near daily now), but I wasn't about to even consider paying scalper prices. I was down to my reserve level, put in BO's with midway, and were it not for getting back door action with cabela's I would have just stopped plinking with 22. I'd have my reserve amount for special activities, but I would have pulled out my pellet rifle before paying 9mm prices on 22, because I could just buy 9mm for what those yahoos are charging people.

We have a very friendly UPS gal that delivers here. My dog loves her and always sticks his nose right in her magic triangle. Cracks me up every time. She is constantly trying to get his nose out of her crotch.

Well, that's the thing. These guys are GRATEFUL for the ammo. They know that it's possible to get it cheaper if you put in some time. I've even told them about this thread after getting the cash. And a month later they're contacting me again because it's easier. And while I don't flip as such I'm happy my stash is large enough to accommodate the needs of lazy rich people.
