Velocitors still up. Haven't had a crack at those in quite a while.

Gander is done. Cabela's has been ruined... Guess it's back to searching Wally and waiting for the silly shortage to go away.
It's annoying, my wife just got back into shooting after not shooting since she was a kid. We can't really even go out because it's impossible to find any ammo.Comment

Wow.
I hadn't checked in on this thread in a little over 24 hours and just had a **** load of fun catching up on all the dramatic events. Cabela's is dead, but not really. Gander Mountain is dead, but not really. Some insightful commentary on freeloaders, flippers, hoarders, and whiners. Hell, I even got to see my rendition of the Cabela's Patrol dude reappear from a few pages back.
All the while, my computer has been dinging at me while CCI Sub-sonics, Velocitors, Win Mags have been blinking in and out of stock (but not in stock long enough to buy).
I used to hate the 22lr shortage (that what it's been) but there are moments when I think it is extraordinarily entertaining.
Good times.Comment

Maybe the best part of all this is when you cut through the fog of war, the changing tactics, and the seemingly depths of despair people are experiencing, the truth is that the "next big drop" is out there waiting to happen when we least expect it. When it hits, only the ones grinding it out will be around to get their piece of the jackpot.
I think that's a big part of what makes this so friggin fun...Comment

Why do we need a free ride? Why can't i just log on and buy ammo? Why should I need a special backdoor link to buy anything? I enjoy and have thanked the creators of links in this thread for their help, but I'm not computer savvy/nor do I have time to sit around and check links all day. It's been ruined in the sense that only folks with these special links can get anything. I guess it was kind of fun when it was just a handful of goofballs here, but when the links spread like wildfire..... well, I just feel like it's a few good and well meaning people here on CalGuns and a bunch of flippers and greedy folks that get anything now.Comment

Like most everything, it happens in cycles. People will free ride until the ride doesn't go anywhere, then they'll give up and go away.
To wit, ammo shortages and availability happens in cycles as well. In the past, you could just log on and buy ammo (or go to a store). A year ago you could do neither. In the future, maybe you can again.
Right now you have to be creative and persistent if you want to build up any sort of inventory of 22lr to go shoot (or stuff under your bed, who cares). That's supply and demand.Comment

LOL I know this is meant somewhat tongue in cheek, but this isn't really realistic for most people with jobs. I get very little time during the day most of the time to jump in front of my PC at my desk, and when I do CalGuns is blocked by the liberal securitans that govern work policy...Comment
