I would think there would be a way of mounting a scout scope ahead of the tech sights...

Hi, I am new here and have a question! I have a newer 795 which has the molded in plastic sling studs, so how should I go about putting a bipod on? Should I use the plastic stud until it breaks, and then just drill a new hole and insert a metal stud? What have you done to alleviate this issue? Thanks!

One more thing, I have read about the dovetail issue plaguing some 795's. Mine is an MM serial numbered rifle. Does this problem still exist?

After having my 795 for 4 years scoped and with stock irons I bought some tech sights. Come to find out the front sight is canted. Probably far enough out of warranty not to be able to get it fixed...... Bummed

I am sure after they look at it they will realize it is something noone would catch unless you put a new front sight in. Wont hurt to ask them. Also if you filled out a warranty card they are good for 5-10 years I believe.

I have another question. Is the barrel the same between the 60 and 795 at the muzzle end? There are a few slip on accessories like muzzle brakes and threaded barrel adapters for the 60 and wondered if they will attach to the 795. Does anyone have both and can possibly measure? :P

i've used all sorts of cheap ammo and the 795 eats them all.i did have a couple of misfires on a batch of yellow Federals. Kept them to use in the xt-22. That eats anything !

Can you give us an example of what you're looking at? Might help.

You might just call the mfg of the accessory and ask if it will fit the 795.

Barring that, I MIGHT go dig in my hoard to pull out an older Model 60 but it better be important to you.

I tried the federal auto match white box yesterday, several failure to fire /failure to eject and groups were all over the place. ...I'm kinda surprised by the result, didn't expect it to be so bad

Think he means something like this:
Mount 1/2-28 RH accessories to your unthreaded Marlin Model 60 barrel with this premium grade slip on adapter. Made out of premium steel.

For "solvent traps" or threading on a muzzle brake.

                      This one?

Yea, never really heard much good about it in any semi auto.

I just finished this SCAR H clone using a Marlin 795 however the LSBO is getting in the way. I'm thinking of removing it but wasnt sure if this would affect anything.

Also I want to make an extended 795 mag release lever and epoxy glue the 795 mag to the SCAR mag shroud so I can make it functional for mag changes.

Just ordered Mcarbo spring kit and the extra power spring. Also the DIP trigger and trigger guard and the charging handle. Along with the tech sights and sling I ordered, I'm ready for an appleseed this spring. Oh, and also bought a bunch of extra magazines that were on sale. I might get a babyupula or whatever it's called.
