Just got back from the range and found that the frame has cracked around the cross pin (part 249)..

I'd shoot it until it dies but I don't want metal fragments in my face. Stupid thing is way too fragile.

How many rounds did you put through the gun before the frame cracked?

To see if I could take a look at it and get it working correctly

I am still waiting for Phoenix Arms to contact me. It has been almost 2 months since I left them a message.

I just bought a .22LR from Phoenix Arms and need two grips screws because they have burrs on them. I called and emailed the company over a week ago and still no response. So disappointing.
My last email stated that if they don't call me back, I'm driving to Ontario and demanding my money Back.
I have a Ruger 22/45 and had to return it three times before they got it functioning correctly. They finally gave me a new gun. The first one jammed continuously. The new one never misses a beat.

In my opinion there are certain things you can get cheap on, things you replace. Cars, phones, clothes, etc. However potential heirlooms that you pass may down generations such as firearms and jewelry, you should buy quality.

That looks like a design flaw....

the thin metal can't handle the flex of the frame during firing.

I would actually chuck it up in a mill and recess the thin areas alongside the magwell down to the thicker material...

I think it would handle the barrel whip better if the thin webbing was cut away and not subject to that sort of strain.

That thin web of metal runs under the grip extensively. If you milled it all out, you could probably break the frame in half with your bare hands. Actually, you might be able to do that anyways.
