      CCI Quiet22

Just an FYI. Tired to run CCI's Quiet22 today but not enough power to eject. Blazers and Mini-Mags were flawless.

I own two SR22Ps. I liked my first one so much I bought a second one. I've put something like 2500 rounds of Fed Blue Box Champion through them and I have had exactly one (1) dud round. Not a single stovepipe or failure to feed. These are great little pistols.

The fixed barrel gives the SR22P surprising accuracy. And it has adjustable rear sights with a three-dot configuration. You can reverse the rear sight if you want a plain black rear sight (I have not; I like the sights as they are right of the box.)

Some of the early SR22Ps had problems with the barrels coming loose after a lot of shooting. (Easy to tighten back up and many users added Loc-Tite to these early pistols.) Ruger has added a lock washer with the current ones and this problem appears to be gone. My March 2012 vintage SR22Ps did not have this issue.

By the way the SR22P is a lot of fun if you add a Crimson Trace Rail Master laser or a Lasermax Uni-Max Micro laser. Great fun to watch the bullet impact right on the laser dot.

Same experience. Rock solid, fun little gun. Not a target gun and not a MKIII but very fun to shoot nonetheless. Surprisingly, with the small size and short barrel, it actually is louder than my 10/22 and it has a little kick, although nothing that would freak out a new shooter.

I put the Lasermax Unimax on mine, great little Laser.

You will not regret it, I foresee it becoming a classic. It looks like a mini Glock sort of (people are religious about Glocks as you know) and with the fatter grip, it's all good. Mine has only been fed CCI Mini Mags so far, will have to try some cheap ammo.

I have enjoyed my sr22 but it's not problem free. There are some feed problems fairly regularly on the 2nd shot. The trigger isn't optimal the travel is longer than id like. I hate the da but the sa is fine.
Finally I'm having a real problem with slide wear. I've lost noticeable metal after maybe 2000 rounds. I'm going to have to talk to Ruger about it. Apparently it's a known issue similar to a problem with the p22.
Still it's pretty accurate for its size and type and it's fun and I took both my wife and mother out to shoot with it and they both liked it.

Buy it, shoot it, love it! Mine has eaten every type of ammo I have put in it. Great little plinker at a great price.

No issues with my SR22 pistol whatsoever. Solid little plinker.

3K rounds thru mine and only one stovepipe due to weak ammo. No other issues. Great little pistol and pretty accurate for a 3" barrel. Bought it for my wife as she can't handle big recoil. She love it and its the first pistol she has ever shot.

                      Quick little range report.

I was finally able to get out to the rage for an hour (not as much time as I wanted but better than nothing).

I only put ~100 through it.

No issues. It shot very well. Not too bad of grouping 1.5" @ 7 yards.

My 9 year old boy loved it. He shot well with it and will be a great way to help him learn hand guns.

I can't want to get it out on some blm and get some plinking in to really put it through its paces.

Congrats on the new purchase. I'm in the market for one of these myself and it's good to see so many folks singing the SR22's praises.
