I know what you mean.... The hooded sweatshirt that works great for that very reason, has a decidedly unibomber look to it....not the greatest choice of style for the gun range.

At the range where I shoot we politely tell the shooter that his/her brass is flying our way. If that doesn't work its off to the range manager and he then informs them to do something to prevent the brass from hitting another shooter. If it continues, the shooter is invited to leave (think bounced from) the range. After all safety is key at any range.

Are these friendly competitions throughout the whole month (you can submit your score from 1st-last day of month)? Also, what happens if there's a tie For example, two shooters got 50/50 or 200/200.
Various Ammo for sale! (Including 300weatherby mag!)

I don't run the matches but yes, they are friendly competitions throughout the month. Shoot as many targets and post as many as you want. Be sure to post the target and annotate it as per the first post in this thread. If there's a tie then both shooters win and get the same bragging rights. There are no tie breakers or prizes. It is just a fun match.

Well, I shot the 100 yard scoped target today for 10 targets with 5 different ammo choices. First time testing this gun at 100 yards after thoroughly testing ammo at 50 yards. Normally I wouldn't have bothered with the scores, but this was a good opportunity for seeing how the ammos performed under a scoring situation.
After taking 10 shots to dope, then another ten for grouping, it was time for two targets of each ammo. RWS Rifle Match produced the best score for my day at 58. Federal UM22 produced two scores of 54. Low for the day was 43 with Eley Match EPS. This was shot using my Savage MkII BV with a Nikon 6-18x40 target scope.

I went out on Fri. My 10/22 did really well. I'm shocked. My hundred yard targets are pretty bad. The wind picked up. I had a great target going on 50 scoped till a guy with a 300 win mag and brake took his shot. Yes I totally flinched!!! it's the one with a score of 180. If I could have just put it in the black ring it would have been a 188. I'm still happy with the 186 though. Also happy with my 50 yard Irons. Thought it was pretty good for shooting off my range bag.

I'm currious to know how people are shooting these matches. I shoot everything scoped from prone with bipod and rear bag. Irons I shoot prone with front bag and rear bag. I know USMMChet shoots from the bench with a pretty nice caldwell front support. I have been known to sneak over and use his equipment while he is plinking. haha Not this month though.

Bench with bipod and rear bag for scoped, and bench with rest and rear bag for irons.

I shoot at two different places. At the range I shoot from a bench with front and rear bags. In the forest I shoot prone with either a front bag or bipod and rear rest (sometimes no rear rest).

                              Hi,

50 yd irons and 100yd target link isn't working, at least for me. I did find the targets (I think) by going to the website. 1000yd reduced for mini Palma and 50 yd NRA. Are these the correct targets? Sorry if I'm just inept or my computer is throwing up. Thanks once again for running the matches. Oh Yeah, the Kimber 82G is delivered tomorrow. Maybe some smaller groups in my future. Gotta quit buying these rifles.
