Good luck everyone, and happy shooting this month!
glad to have you on board.
do you shoot at the new Firing Line indoor range? I shot there last may and it is a beautiful facility.

Yeah that's where I go. It's only about 10 minutes from my house and the staff are great people. I also occasionally shoot at Sun Mountain and the Visalia Sportsman's range, but all of the outdoor ranges are almost an hours drive, so we don't go very often.

To all who are now and have in the past, run this monthly match, I say thanks. This is a fun way to add some focus to a range session, and now that we have the opportunity to win a prize too... that makes it even more entertaining. I don't really shoot to be competitive except with myself, and this is a laid-back no pressure way for one to practice and get better amongst some other like minded folks

I lived off of Beaver Pond Road. Did you go to Latrobe or Millers Hill? I had a total graduating 8th grade class of 8.

I miss being a kid running around with a pellet gun and nothing else to do but follow the crik until the sun started to go down and then you realized Mom was going to be mad. Like little house on the prairie.

I went to Rescue elementary, marina jr high, ponderosa high. Graduating classes weren't quite as small as yours.

Looks like we were just a little north and east of you. Grew up in CP, my parents now live in SS off Meder Rd. we used to tear up the green belt on our bmx bikes until dark until they tore it out to build apartments. All my buddies and I had wild dreams f sabotaging the construction equipment to stop them - looking back, I am REALLY glad we never became part of the criminal justice system.

Thank you for running this competition. It gives me something to go to the range. Plus a little competition is a lot of fun.

Yikes! You have set the bar for that target. Excellent shooting. I may have to try some of that Lapua Midas in my BTVS. Its so darn picky with ammo, loves Wolf MT and hates Lapua Center-X, go figure. The matches are fun, good learning tool and I enjoy shooting them and organizing them. Someting for this old retired guy to do to stay out of trouble.

It really weird. My mark 2 likes wolf match and lapua but won't group with eley. Like 1 1/2" on groups of 3. I have quite a bit of eley match/ team and I'm going to keep trying it, but for expensive ammo I expected more.

Funny....I just found some Eley team that runs well at 100 yds. in my MkII bv. It also seems to like sk std +, rws r50, and really likes midas+ and Eley tenex (can't afford it). It kind of sucks because even the "good" ammo throws off every once in awhile. I haven't tried weighing or measuring rim thickness, but some say its the way to go. I don't think I'm that into it.

Been there, done that and didn't seem to make any difference in my groups and it takes a long time to sort ammo that way. Better to just buy the good ammo and forget it, at least that's the lesson I learned. I even got one of those accurized thingys and didn't do squat. Even the lowest end of the match ammo (Wolf and SK) shoots better than I can. Like most things you get what you pay for.

I guess I will keep trying out different velocity and machine numbered eley. I don't do the whole weight and rim thing. It seems like a tremendous amount of work. The wolf match is good but I seem to get that one straggler every few targets. I might have to try some sk.

Wolf,sk,lapua all the same. Just varying degrees of quality control based on the price per round. My mk II will not shoot wolf MT worth beans. Center x lapua is about the same as wolf for twice the price in my rifle. I just have a lot of different ammo now....everything that doesn't pass muster on the mk II gets shot out of the other,.22's. Anyone notice better results from different ammos at different yardages?

I just shot Remington Target Rifle for the 25 yard pistol match and I did notice an improvement, but that's a pistol
