QUICK! I need some feedback on 10/22!

Big 5 has them on sale for $270 and 10% coupon, what's the difference between 10/22 tactical and 10/22 carbine?

    Which is one better?

I believe the Tactical does not have sights but has a Tacticool Flash hider. The carbine will have sights and no flash hider. Tactical also has synthetic stock.

They have the carbine for $229 and 10% discount, good deal.

Carbine is the basic model with sights included and 18.5" barrel. I believe you need a scope for the target model and it comes with a 20" barrel.

I have a carbine and love it.

They're the same rifle. The carbine has iron sights and the tactical doesn't. The tactical has a "flash hider" and the carbine doesn't. They're built on the same receiver with the same trigger. If I was spending your money... I'd get the carbine. I just like it better.

They are both good guns. Heres a pic of my Tactical 10/22 - Hogue stock, Oversize bolt, Bi-Pod, and Primary Arms Micro Dot. It's my favorite of my four 10/22's (Carbine, Target, and SR-22).

Bud's wants $211 for the carbine but then you'll have to pay a transfer fee at your FFL where the rifle is shipped, can be up to $75 so $229+tax+DROS locally is a decent price plus you can view before buying.

they didn't have the carbine, so I ended up getting the stainless, I like the way it looks better. My first dedicated .22 rifle, SR22 is up next. F you CA for these fees/prices!

Transfer fees kill most budget 22 deals. You can usually save enough on a $500+ rifle to make it good deal even with $70-100 transfer fees. When talking about a $200 rifle $70+ transfer fees kill any savings.

Ideal Acceptable transfer fee should be $10

Heh, was gonna tell you to get the cheapest one, cuz you're gonna ditch the barrel and stock pretty quickly when you look at all the aftermarket goodies that turn it into a tackdriver.
