The new Ruger Single-Ten

My Single Six is my favorite handgun. Now this... Should be a fun one.

Wonder if they'll offer a 10 round cylinder for you but..then people will buy the cheaper Single Six with a cylinder that still might be cheaper than the new model heh.

10rd cylinder won't work in a 6.
The cylinder advance pawl moves the Six 60 degrees... only 36 degrees for a Ten.

Loading, probably.
Unloading? You'd have to make an ejector tool since the spent casings aren't going to fall out when the cylinder is inverted.

No problems at all with the 8. I imagine the pawl only advances the cylinder as far as it is designed to go.

Everyone I know with a convertible never shoots .22 mag, but they all say the same thing. Of course these are the same people who won't buy .17 HMR or Mach II because of "ammo costs."

Ruger is coming out with a 22lr double action. August issue of Guns and Ammo shows the new SP101 8 shot with a 4.3"bbl half lug. It will have the old style grips with walnut inserts, fully adjustable rear sight and a HiViz style front sight. Its a nice looking little gun I'm already saving up for when it gets to CA.

Its true there's a 3 page write up on it. The writer met with Ruger engineer Mark Gurney and shot the gun. And yes there are pics and I WANT ONE.
