Which .22 LR AR-Style Rifle?

I'm currently interested in a Semi-Automatic .22LR rifle as my next firearm.

Any suggestions or comments on which one I should get?

colt m16 or m4 spr or ops. I just have a regular m4 and m16 no misfeeds shot about 1,500 rounds through the m16 no jams neither the m4 but its your pick. we all have different personalities and like diffrent things

i own one and i dont consider the 522 an ar platform...

most popular choices would be MP 15-22, Colt Umarex, and CMMG...i dont own any so i would also like to know...each has their own ups and downs, i want to know that they are in order to make the right decision

CMMG dedicated upper with stainless bolt, forward assist, and Bolt Hold Open.
13 K through mine. 3 FTE's not ammo realated.
Capable of sub 1" at 50 yards with a stock barrel and 4 x scope.

Can't purchase lowers, not 21 yet.

M&P 15-22. I have well over 10K reounds though mine without any problems. You take it down exactly like any other AR. Ergonomically it is identical to any other AR platform rifle. Complete unit cost is under $500. You can not lose.

Build your own. AR lower with any .22lr upper you want. This way you could also buy other uppers for different calibers.

I got a Colt Umarex M16-22. It's nice and solid. Put probably 7000 or so rounds through it and only had a couple FTF/FTE when I first got it, but the FTF stuff was from using crappy ammo.
The only thing I don't care for is the 10,000 lb trigger pull. Kind of sucks because the FCG is not like a standard AR. Not the end of the world, but that's the only annoying part about it. Good reliable rifle that is a ton of fun to shoot.

haha okay 9,000 lb trigger pull. I work out a lot though.


if it makes any difference, one of the next things to buy on my list is the M&P15-22P. Yes it's plastic, but it doesn't seem to affect performance negatively.
