Midway should carry magless kits and then people could order what they needed.

The new revision magazines are due to run in about 10 days. The new magazines have steel pins molded in front and rear. They just keep getting better and better. I've got a couple of pre-production samples, and I am very pleased. I believe you will be too...

Went to the range yesterday, rented their 10/22 to have a long gun I could afford to actually shoot more than a few rounds at a time with, and was quite impressed with the little thing's accuracy and reliability, but not so much its ergonomics. I'm planning to buy one now, but I want to pimp it out a bit with some aftermarket bits to make it a bit more user friendly. The Marauder/Nomad kit is one of the things I'm considering, because it includes features I'd want to add in anyway, like the extended bolt release lever with auto release, and it certainly looks nice and solid, the reviews are all good, and it seems like a good package deal. I'd still want to get a replacement charging handle, but other than that it would be hit all of my requirements to bring the gun to a comfortable regular shooter state in one package.

That said... I have one question about it... Living in California the banana clip mags just seem silly to me, and I'd get better functionality out of a tri-mag setup. I understand that this can be used with a ruger factory mag, but can it accomodate a tri-mag setup, or would there not be room, considering how far the mag well extends?

Probably...most likely...not. For fun/to experiment, I used the OEM rotary magazine with the Marauder kit, and you really have to push it way up in there to engage. I panicked a little when I pushed on the extended magazine release lever and the OEM mag didn't "fall out"...had to reach way inside the well and carefully pull the bugger out. As such, I would surmise that the 2 other attached mags on the tri-mag set up will get in the way.

            But I could be wrong...

P.S. -- If you take apart the actual magazine inside the shell, you'll see a not-so-high-tech "limiter" that can be easily accidentally cut broken which will lead to the adverse affect of the ability to introduce more rounds than the LEGAL LIMIT of ten...

            ...just sayin'...

Yes well... I'd rather stay securely within the letter of the law on such things. I suppose it could still be used with one of the two-mag couplers at least, since those are completely vertical, plus the added length/weight would help with getting the mag out...
