Nice. I have my PC lower in the safe wait for the money to get my new upper.
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

How's the quality of the chiappa upper? Looks like it does the job!

Well its my first AR so take my review with a grain of salt, but to me its great, the bolt carrier slides smoothly, and although it is a plastic upper, it looks and feels amazing!! Really fits nice and tight with my PC lower, it feels really solid.

So for range duty, you are more than happy? $267 for a complete dedicated upper is a great deal. I'm considering this if I don't build one. I already ordered a cmmg conversion kit. I know it isn't going to be pin point accurate, but if it's close I'll leave it. If it's pretty bad, I'll either build an upper or buy one.

Keep us updated, I'm taggin this thread for further updates!

i didnt buy it complete so its not really a brand rifle, its a "plumcrazy" lower, with a dedicated "Chiappa m4-22" upper

Oh im quite happy! It performed great, i thought my groupings with iron sights at around 35 yards were not bad, this is my first rifle so i dont really have any great shooting experience i mean i know how to but im definitely a beginner so im sure the rifle could have performed better in the hands of someone more capable.

I also thought about buying a .223 upper then ordering a conversion kit, but the more i read about the mouth fouling probs and barrel probs i figured spend 179 for a conversion or 90 more bucks and get a full upper with better accuracy and the barrel should last 500,000 rounds( not that ill ever get that high lol), but thats just me. Also i read about how a lot of guys start out with the conversion then end up loving to shoot 22lr and want better accuracy and end up buying a dedicated upper anyway, so i said well ill just skip the middle step and buy a 22upper and upgrade to .223 later. Ive read a bunch of reviews on the chiappa upper and they were pretty good and after the first day of shooting i really do enjoy it, so i would definitely recommend it!!!

Ill be going out tomorrow also and im sure ill finish off that box of 550 wally special i bought yesterday haha

not with my setup now, the upper is dedicated .22lr, But the lower is ready for 5.56 all i have to do is throw a 5.56 upper on it and its good to go.

i like em a lot, the thumb assist is great and makes reloading a breeze, only issue is they are a little tight, i have to pull em out. The 10 round .223 mag that came with my lower drops right out and is great but these are a little tight. So i dont know if i should file down the inside on the lower or the magazine? i know guys usually work the inside of the lower but if other mags drop out fine and its only a certain mag do they usually work the mag??
